Lord, I fell asleep
In the glory of moon light.
A full moon shone brightly,
The silver, still light surrounding me
As if to let me know of Your closeness.
I awoke to full daylight,
In the glory of sunlight.
A beautiful summer’s day
The sun aglow, a golden glow, high in the sky,
As if to let me know of Your closeness.
Thank You for this awareness.
Silver and gold, both are precious.
How apt then, that this sense of colour
Whether in the night or the day,
Should speak of Your closeness.

Let me ever pray to increase my awareness.
To pray is to sense You,
To see Your hand at work,
To know of Your goodness.
Thank You for every opportunity
To be consciously in Your company.
The silver moonlight was soothing,
A kind of peaceful embalming.
The golden daylight is inviting,
As if to say ‘Come and see more of Me’.
Thank You Lord, for the beauty,
Your beauty of silver and golden colour.

Lord, it is good to know of Your continuous presence, be it night time or day time. “As for
Psalm 31 v 14, 15 me, I trust in You, O LORD; I say ‘You are my God’. My times are in Your hand,” and
I am delighted whenever I sense Your closeness. Thank You.
“Blessed be the name of the LORD from this time forth and forever more. From the
rising of the sun to its going down the LORD’s name is to be praised. The LORD is
Psalm 113 v 2, 3, 4 high above all nations, His glory above the heavens,” and shining down upon earth. All
glory be to You, Lord, Creator Father, in the beauty of every colour. Thank You for the precious
elements of silver and gold. Amen.
