“ ‘Heaven and earth shall pass away, but My words shall not pass away’.” Matthew 24 v 35

What is it to be holy?
To be holy is:
To bow before the authority of the Trinity,
Relying upon God’s kindness, His justice, His mercy;
To accept His sovereignty in all aspects,
Knowing this in every way is the best purpose;
To call into being that which is worthy,
Praying, asking to share in the life of divinity;
To be receptive ever attentive to the quest for sanctity,
Accepting that progress comes but slowly;
To act in the face of discouragement valiantly,
Persevering, never giving up on that which we know to be right;
To honour our Father, the Lord Jesus, the Holy Spirit daily,
Adoring and worshipping in acts of love given willingly;
To admit to all faults and failings,
Repenting, coming before the throne of grace readily;
To hold in our hearts through prayer all of the human family,
Talking with God about all aspects of life daily;
To attempt in all we do, desire, think, say to be honourable consistently,
Claiming the Kingdom of God amongst us, in us when character shows beauty.

“Finally, …whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure,
whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything
praiseworthy - think on these things.” Philippians 4 v 8
