“O Love ever burning, love never extinguished, my God set me on fire.” St Augustine of Hippo

For I aspire to love You fully, as best I can.
My Lord, my God, my delight, my Messiah,
My favour, my Saviour, my insight,
As Light of the world, brightly shining:
This is Jesus to us,
The Lord of the Eucharist.
He comes in love to favour us.
Surely we must savour the honour.
“For the Lord loves the just and will not forsake His faithful ones. They will be protected forever...”
Psalm 37 v 28
Jesus, God’s witness, here with us in the Eucharist,
Come as God’s Word, needing to be heard,
For His is the message of a Healer.
Jesus has come to repeal our errant sinfulness.
At the Eucharist, He will remind us of His †,
The loss of His life as sacrifice for us,
A penalty paid, restitution made for our forgiveness.
The Saviour, gift of our Father, comes as mercy.
“The joy of the Lord is your strength.” Nehemiah 8 v 10
Jesus, God with us, a steadfast, loving, all faithful kindness given us.
Coming to save and sanctify us by His body and blood,
Jesus intends to feed, nourish and sustain our faith’s response.
Love is His message, love is His means.
Love which delivers us once, for all, from the enemy.
We are free, set free, most gloriously free!
This liberty we now celebrate in the joyous Eucharist.
Jesus, the Saviour Redeemer Healer enters us.
“The LORD is a shield for all who take refuge in Him.” 2 Samuel 22 v 31
Enters us as the promise of our Father now accomplished.
How wondrous, truly, truly marvellous, miraculous.
The living bread from heaven come down to us
In all holiness, to help us achieve real happiness.
What gladness to experience this in Jesus.
Our Lord, our God, our delight, our Messiah,
Our favour, our Saviour, our insight,
As Light of the world, brightly shining.

“For I created your soul with a capacity for loving – so much so that you cannot live without love.
Indeed, love is your food.” St Catherine of Sienna

“If music be the food of love, play on.” William Shakespeare

Lord, Jesus, I could not know Your love for us whilst entangled in the snares of satan. I thank
You for the †whereby You set us at liberty from this catastrophe.
We recall Your † in the Eucharist and realise how precious this gift of amazing, new life giving
love is to us, that we celebrate.
2 Thessalonians 3 v 3 “The Lord is faithful; He will make you strong and guard you from the evil one.” Lord,
deliver us from all that is evil as we share in Your holiness.
Thank You that You are infinitely stronger than he who is in the world, even though satan has
permission to inflict himself upon us.
This will never be a step too far, because You are our Saviour, the Messiah with all sovereign
authority to protect us. Protect us by the Eucharist, Your real presence with us.
A real presence to set our minds at rest from fear and worry, for it was for freedom that You
have set us free, purifying us from all unrighteousness. Thus God will bless us.
based on “If we walk in the light, as You are that light, we have fellowship with one another and
1 John 1 v 7 Your blood Lord Jesus, God’s Son purifies us from all sin.”
Drawn together in love of You, by love of You, through the love You show us, Lord Jesus, we
meet together as Your body blessed to celebrate the Eucharist.
The law of the Spirit of life in us has set us fully free, abundantly free in the generosity of holy
love. All praise, all thanks ever, ever be, Lord Jesus, Lord of our Eucharist. Amen.
