Lord God of majesty,
Your world painted so skilfully
With the artistry of a Master Craftsman,
You generously surround us with beauty.
Why is this exactly?
Is it evidence of Your creativity,
Or maybe Your supremacy of authority?
We certainly know You consider
All of this delight, an insight of faith surely,
To be very good indeed.
We need therefore to acknowledge this skill
Of Yours as our Father Creator,
Supreme Master and Lord over all of us.
The wonderful world our birth place to inhabit,
We see eventually how to live ecologically,
Sensibly aware environmentally of our every need,
To share in each aspect of care.
Please equip us for this protective strain,
That Your earth remain its jewelled self,
Uniquely placed in space, it would seem
To beam something of heaven back to earth.
This extraordinary feature of modernity,
Brings You further glory in our beholding,
Seeing You are indeed moulding our future
By holding us safely before You.
So carefully we see how we revolve amidst space,
Forgive us the arms race which seeks
Only to cause blight and destroy.
May we instead, learn to become Co-Creators,
Partakers of the life You gift us,
A life meant to be lovely in every way.

“Who has weighed the dust of every mountain?
Who has walked the mysteries of the deep?
Who has laid the earth on its foundation
And who conduct the waves upon the sea?” Martin Layzell cont.

Thus You surround us with colour, texture, shape and movement,
