’S GIFT TO US
“And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins....” Ephesians 2 v 1
Jesus, in the Eucharist,
The graciousness and greatness
Of God’s glorious gift to us, an amazing gift.
In the power of resurrection.
What a connection to heaven.
Mankind does find God with us
Not as befits us,
For this vain impossibility
But in the glory of holy love,
God’s grace and favour shown.
We feel near to heaven
In this gracious gift of Jesus made known in the Eucharist.
“God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were
dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ, by grace you have been saved...”
Ephesians 2 v 4, 5
We are near to heaven
In the closeness of His body and blood,
Offered on the †
And now on the altar for us.
Jesus adorns life with His love,
The mercy of our Father.
The King of Glory
Comes to us in the Eucharist.
Our perishable nature holds to Jesus
His victory on the †,
And we put on imperishability.
All to the glory of the almighty, an all loving Trinity.
Always offering grace and favour to us.
“ ‘Behold, God is my salvation, I will trust and not be afraid; for YAH, the LORD, is my strength and my
song; He also has become my salvation’.” Isaiah 12 v 2

“Cry out and count, O inhabitants of Zion, for great is the Holy One of Israel in your midst .”
