’S PRESENCE
“You are the temple of the living God. As God has said: ‘I will dwell in them and walk among them. I will
be their God and they shall be My people’.” 2 Corinthians 6 v 16
Oh the joy in God’s presence.
This is the fullness of life
As promised to us by the Lord Jesus.
He comes to live within us in the Eucharist,
As God’s Word fulfilled for us.
Jesus carries out all our Father promises us.
The Father dwells in us, in Jesus,
As the Spirit is at work miraculously.
During the liturgy in the celebration of the Eucharist,
The Spirit changes the substance of the feast,
Of bread and wine set out before us on the altar.
He makes this most marvellously,
The living presence of Jesus encompassing the Trinity,
To feed, nourish and remain with us,
All we who believe, receive and become His adopted family.
“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear...”
Psalm 46 v 1, 2
The Lord Jesus reflecting perfectly our Father’s personality,
Walks and talks amongst us by the Spirit.
We inherit One Person of the Trinity not alone,
But always all Three in perfect unity.
Holy communion, the highest, richest, fullest
And most blessed of the sacramental unions,
Means God is with us identifiably.
The Father comes to us readily through Jesus,
For love cannot bear to stay away from the beloved,
And at the † of forgiveness our identity is restored.
The victory of the †re-presented to us in the holy Eucharist,
Is love in triumphant action taking us in one direction.
We travel homewards to heaven accompanied by
The holy Three, the blessed Trinity.
All thanks, all praise ever, ever be.
“ ‘Come out from among them and be separate’, says the Lord. ‘Do not touch what is unclean, and I will
receive you. I will be a Father to you, and you shall be My sons and daughters,’ says the LORD
Almighty.” 2 Corinthians 6 v 17, 18
“Restore to me the joy of Your salvation and uphold me by Your generous Spirit.” Psalm 51 v 12
Thank You that our salvation offers us the joy of healing love in action as found by us in Jesus,
by means of the Spirit, according to Your will and wishes dearest Father.
May we so rejoice in this we never hesitate to tell others what the Lord Jesus has done for us,
the grace and favour won for us at the †and re-enacted at the holy Eucharist.
Psalm 51 v 13 If we do this “Then we will teach transgressors Your ways,” of love, of mercy, of the kindness
the singular changed of forgiveness, of Your faithfulness towards us. “And sinners shall be converted to You.”
to plural
This life is entirely transformed by an experience of holy friendship with each of You, both
separately and together, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Our new identity is forged in Jesus alive in
us.
Oh how we value the Eucharist, the visible, tangible gift of the holy love of You as a Trinity,
embodied in the substance of bread and wine transformed miraculously, into the life giving body
and blood of Jesus.
“O Lord, open my lips, and my mouth shall show forth Your praise...The sacrifices of God
Psalm 51 v 15, 17 are a broken spirit, a broken and contrite heart – these O God, You will not despise.”
Our contrition is best expressed in repentance with remorse and the resolve not to make the same
mistakes again, for this is what sent our Saviour Brother to the † to take on our punishment.
Oh how could we do this and continue to do so, to the very One so full of love. He died for us a
most horrendous death, then risen by the Spirit, chooses to live within us to heal our brokenness.
Oh, the life transforming, character building, virtue unfolding presence of the Lord Jesus, herein
is our true, full and final happiness for in Him we meet with such love and mercy.
v 19 “You should be pleased with the sacrifices of righteousness,” the reminder of the Passion of
Christ Jesus offered for us, not only once historically at the †, but daily throughout the world in
the blessed sacramental celebration of holy communion.
Our brokenness is so compassionately dealt with that all doubt, worry and fear are lifted off us,
in spite of us having violated the honour of holiness. We are brought newly alive in Jesus
according to the working of the Spirit.
Our pardon lies within the purity of the Lord Jesus, offered up for us on the † of our salvation,
the Spirit calling us forwards in a different direction that we journey joyously to heaven, blessed
by Your holy friendship, Lord God.
Our shame and sorrow have been covered by Your mercy once sins are confessed, repented of,
forgiven and forgotten by You. The choicest gift awaits us, the joy of restoration in Your
presence, all thanks to Jesus and the active Spirit of love.
We seek after satisfaction in finding the meaning and fulfilled purpose to life. Wondrously this
is presented to us by the Lord Jesus, being Your living Word of love, His Spirit, Your Spirit,
enabling our response.
All the nations of the earth have been incredibly blessed by the healing action of salvation gifting
*John 4 v 34 us righteousness, that virtue found in Jesus.*
“I am like a green olive tree in the house of God,” thankfully. “I trust in the mercy of God
Psalm 52 v 8, 9 for ever and ever. I will praise You for ever because You have done it,” You have saved us
to bless us by Your friendship.
Godliness is the gift given through Jesus by means of the Spirit, dearest Father of mercy, “And in
the presence of Your saints” which is all of us who are Jesus’ works in progress, open to the
Cont life enhancing Spirit, “I will wait on Your name, for it is good.” All praise ever be to the
Almighty Trinity. Amen.
