Prayer is the application
Seeking connection between heaven and earth.
How this works exactly is mysterious.
We simply have to experience that prayer does,
All prayer heard and answered.
The only difficulty really is in recognising the answer.
The answer may come quickly, maybe slowly.
The answer may be as hoped for, expected,
But equally the answer can be a surprise.
What we do know for this the Spirit will show us,
The answer is dependent upon the level of our faith,
Our trust, our dependency on the Lord Jesus.
It is through His Son, by His Spirit,
The Lord God our Father addresses us.
We know too, from personal experience, faith always blessed,
Has taught us to trust in the Trinity.
Our ability to pray in the first place
Is God given, driven by the Spirit of Jesus.
“And because you are sons (and daughters) God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts,
crying out, ‘Abba, Father’.” Galatians 4 v 6
The Spirit is seeking for us to share in Jesus’ holiness.
Therefore the call to prayer is always there.
It is up to us as to whether we respond or not.
But certainly we have got a lot to gain or to lose.
For God will always use the time of prayer
To reveal His love to us and to show us
How vital this is to the everyday.
Pray then, asking the Lord God to have His say,
To speak into your life, your circumstances,
Your hopes, dreams, ambitions, plans.
Hand over to His supreme authority
And allow the Holy Spirit to work through this.
Endeavour to draw closer to the Lord Jesus.
