Sunday, that special day
To while away
quietly,
gently,
easily.
For in this day without hurry,
I am more aware of Your company, O holy Trinity.
I suppose because there is more time to pray earnestly.
I think Sunday can be for anybody
Life as it is meant to be gifted silently.

Sunday, time slipping away
slowly,
comfortably,
gradually.
And there is time to ponder reflectively
Upon Your love for Your family, O holy Trinity.
This can be varied in our experience admittedly.
Therefore all the more reason to have need of time
To see what Your love does for us personally.

For we need You O holy Trinity, for the prosperity of our soul. Therefore we need to pray and this
takes time. Thank You Holy Spirit, that You always come to us as we pray, showing us the true
love of the Father and the Son. It is this true love which increases our sense of
wellbeing. For we find life’s meaning, purpose and destiny.
Thank You Lord Jesus, for coming to each of us personally. You well know our needs and You come
accordingly in order not only to help us, but to enable us in our turn to help each other. So through
prayer, calling on Your Spirit, our capacity for love spreads and this delights our Father.
Thank You, dearest Father, for the gift of Your Son and Your Spirit and the gift of time by which
we can get to know, love and serve You through the second and third Person of the Trinity. May we
never squander our time, but use it gainfully in Your service, basing this on prayer.
Sunday is a special day because it is Your day appointed for a purpose. As You call us to rest,
intrinsically this means more time in which to pray, so that we can make plans and dream
dreams together. It is so beneficial to have more time for uninterrupted conversation with You.
Thank You that there is more quietness around us on a Sunday because there is not the usual daily
hubbub. Quietness or preferably silence, offers better opportunity to pray. And Sunday could used
