Swan Lake!
Sit by a lake
And take a moment
To watch a swan
Pass gracefully by.
No struggle,
None whatsoever,
The swan glides easily
Floating with the water’s movement.
Or when necessary
Paddling gently to propel an energy.
Life can be like that
For each of us with faith.
Prayer is the paddling movement,
The momentum of faith.
Prayer of asking,
Allowing God to take life forwards
At His pace, in His time,
Under His authority.
That we will be
Saved from fear and worry
And probably hurry.
Stop, take

Will you bring Him yourself
In all the complexity of Your life?
Let us pray and feel the tranquillity
Of God’s being very close to us.
No need to struggle, nor fret.
Let the time of prayer quieten us.
Life does not pass by without God’s notice.
