Sunny garden,
Bright with cheer,
Shows me that
Our God is near.
He does appear
In the beauty
Of high summer.
The garden splendid
In full flower.
The bounty speaks
Of God’s goodness
Gifting us life,
Life in all fullness.
For this is indeed
God’s purpose,
That we experience happiness.
Happy garden
Full of summer,
High summer’s sunshine.
What a fine way
As I stop,
Sit and pray,
To find You,
Creator Father of nature.
How glorious Your presence,
Truly marvellous,
Most special,
A July high point.

In the full assurance
Of faith’s love embrace.
As I meet with You
As a Trinity,
Father Creator,
Lord Jesus, faith’s Sustainer,
Holy Spirit, our Sanctifier.
Draw my thoughts
Upmost, foremost,
Productive in goodness
As I turn to You,
Yearn for You,
And am satisfied
In my sunny garden,
Your happy gift.

All these July days.
I offer You my praise.
Lord, I offer You my praise for I have so very, very much to thank You for, especially the sunny days of July
and the colour in the garden, such a gift to uplift me. Amen.
