“As a father pities his children, so the LORD pities those who fear Him.” Psalm 103 v 13

Mercy is our ever kindly Trinity,
Acting for me frequently,
Going before me in guidance,
Allowing me forgiveness and thereby liberty.
Mercy is God with me and in me
Before, behind and alongside me.

“The mercy of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear Him and His
righteousness to children’s children, to those as keep His covenant...who remember His
commandments to do them.” Psalm 103 v 17, 18
A mercy which never, ever deserts me,
But is ready to accompany me if I but ask prayerfully.
Mercy is my God acting faithfully,
His personality being completely loving,
Understanding, tolerant, desirous of blessing.
Without this goodness, we would not survive nor thrive.

“The LORD will give strength to His people; the LORD will bless His people with peace.” Psalm 29 v 11
Mercy is our Father, the Lord Jesus, the Holy Spirit,
Desirous of the very best for us,
Setting out to establish and secure this,
That indeed, we enjoy fullness of life.
Mercy is grace and favour to savour,
An unmerited, unwarranted gift of love.
“Bless the LORD, all His works, in all places of His dominion. Bless the LORD, O my soul.”
Psalm 103 v 22
Love come from above in all holiness,
That indeed the Trinity bless us,
So what should be the result of such mercy?
We, in our turn, should bless the Trinity,
Offering all honour, praise and thanksgiving,
Especially for the privilege of living to worship.
“Blessed be the Lord, who daily loads us with benefits, the God of our salvation!” Psalm 68 v 19

“Bless the LORD, O my soul; and all that is within me, bless His holy name! Bless the LORD, O my
soul and forget not all His benefits.” Psalm 103 v 1, 2
“Many, O LORD my God, are Your wonderful works which You have done; and Your
thoughts towards us cannot be recounted to You in order; if I would declare and speak of
Psalm 40 v 5 them, they are more than can be numbered.”
In Your mercy almighty Trinity, You are most mercifully kind, whether acting individually or
collectively. Thank You for enriching life in this way, for answering us as we pray asking for
help.
May we ever offer praise for all Your mercies, but especially that of Your †, Lord Jesus, “Who
Psalm 103 v 3 forgives all your iniquities and heals all your diseases.”
How many physical illnesses arise out of emotional sickness, I wonder? Thank You for
Exodus 15 v 26 mercifully relieving us of the burden of our offences. “ ‘ I am the LORD who heals you’,” You
tell us.
Thank You that You repair our relationship, that friendship which sin fractured, for You desire
only the best for us, Father, making this possible through Jesus as Lord and Word, by the
impact of the Spirit.
May we listen to You, learn from You, adhere to You, reverence You, for herein lies our
wellbeing and the opening to the firehouse of Your goodness.
based on Please gift to us “...the Spirit of wisdom and revelation as to who You are and what you
Ephesians 1 v 17 have done for us, so we will come to know You better.”
The Truth
May we come to know by our faith’s experience the hope to which we are called, the purpose
You want to see fulfilled in our life, that we enjoy the riches of a glorious inheritance. O
based on v 18, 19 merciful Three, please continue to help us. Amen.
