Lord, can I not already do this
At least in an imaginary way,
Through the wisdom, counsel, guidance,
Understanding of Your Spirit Lord Jesus?
We need His continuous wisdom
Showing us the tolerance of merciful love,
Reminding us of the triumph of the †.
The † showing us the victory of love,
The love of You Lord Jesus inspiring us.
In this all sufficiency we discover the holy.
Jesus, the Healer is our Redeemer Restorer
To all the goodness our Father offers us.
Jesus shows each of us the true value of life,
That which is filled by His transforming Spirit,
Giving to us that fullness Jesus promises.
We can become fruitful in good works grafted on to Jesus,
As long as we remain prayerful and dutiful,
Faithful to Jesus, filled by His life shaping Spirit.
“ ‘You can ask for anything in My name, and I will do it, because the work of the Son brings glory to
the Father’.” John 14 v 13 NLT
No longer should we be swayed by the worldly lure now tempting us,
We must live on unblemished life, hallowed by grace,
Ever seeking our Father’s glory by us fully alive in Jesus,
Places us an Easter people, as saved from sin.
We begin anew, iniquity no longer holding sway.
We pray looking to the Spirt, to ever correct, heal and cleanse us,
Immediately if we are starting to stray.
Day by blessed day, let us remain consciously,
And conscientiously in the loving presence of Jesus,
Zealous and industrious about faith’s principles and priorities,
Never tiring of seeking to be virtuous.
For our vocation is found in sharing the holiness of Jesus,
He the Vine, our Father the Vine Dresser,
The Holy Spirit the Enabler as He counsels us.
The life of the risen Jesus must be evident in us,
Prevalent in all our actions and transactions.
“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called
according to His purpose.” Romans 8 v 28 NIV
For eventually, we will stand before the Trinity face to face.
What will we have to offer them?
What goodness has our Father hoped for and established?
What difference has Jesus’ life and death made to us?
And what about the impact and inspiration of the Spirit?

As long as holy love has been our dedication, a veneration,
And we have strived prayerfully, then hopefully
Life will not have gone too far wrong, for we belong to the Lord Jesus.
He comes to meet us day by day in the Spirit.
Let us then seek to be truly holy, active, attentive,
In all of faith’s outreach and practices,
Serving willingly, wholeheartedly, keenly, lovingly, obediently effective.
Let the Trinity be rewarded by the possibility, probability even,
Of us seeming holy, becoming a strong reality.
No longer foolhardy, acting unwisely, independently.
But working well as a team held within the Trinity,
Love’s unity promised, assured, evident, perfected.
Let all our effort, energy, ability reflect holy love’s efficacy,
All because we stood before Jesus in the imaginary reality.
“For the Lord God is our light and Protector. He gives us grace and glory. No good thing will the Lord
withhold from those who do what is right.” Psalm 84 v 11 NLT
Oh so happy is the place of coming face to face with Jesus,
His Spirit in us, taking us forwards from strength to strength.
We must be prepared to go to whatever length the Saviour asks of us.
It is by becoming fully alive in Jesus, life becomes more glorious,
Wherever we are sent out and about as ambassadors for Jesus.
Dependent of course, upon the living love of Jesus, above all else.
For then satan will never divide, separate, nor conquer us.
The † of Jesus is holy love put into practise
Evidently, clearly, dramatically, life givingly.
We have become an Easter people re-shaped by Jesus,
As our Father hoped for and the industrious Spirit strived after.
No more should life meet with disaster, but love,
Love only, the holy power of the Trinity ever most active,
Fully effective, our directive, heaven’s destiny in sight.
Yes, the future has been made bright by Jesus.
Let then holy love win through all we do to accomplish
Calling on the infinite powers of His name, ‘Jesus’,
The holy, blessed and most beautiful name, name above all names.
“God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the
name of Jesus, every knee should bow...” Philippians 2 v 10

“...press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 3 v 14
Lord Jesus, I can stand before You consciously and conscientiously only by the impact of Your
Holy Spirit.
I need Him to reveal to me the truth of Your message which says “ ‘I am the living bread which
John 6 v 51 came down from heaven’,” and the difference this makes to us.
Please live within me to help me strive after holiness, one day eventually, standing face to face
before You in the heavenly realms.

Cont. Thank You for telling us that “ ‘If anyone eats of this bread, (s)he will live forever’.” I know
You are our Saviour.
You save us at the †, so well re-presented to us in the holy Eucharist. “ ‘The bread that I shall
Cont. give You is My flesh, which I shall give for the life of the world’.”
I am so very grateful to receive of You, Lord Jesus, each time I come to the banqueting table,
Your Spirit drawing me. He is so influential and I truly appreciate this.
I rejoice to partake in the covenant blood You shed for us at the †, recalled as if now happening
in the communion cup.
You are the covenant sacrifice, our Father’s provision for our salvation and our sustenance.
Without this Lord Jesus, without You inside us, we do not live fully.
*2 Peter 1 v 4 We need to feed on You to become partakers of the divine nature* so achieving life and love
eternal, our current hope, peace and joy.
I ask for a further outpouring of Your Spirit upon mankind. “ ‘It is the Spirit who gives life; the
John 6 v 63 flesh profits nothing’.”
Cont. “ ‘The words that I speak to you are spirit and they are life’.” May all believers in You become
Lord Jesus, living forms of likeness to You, living out the gospel good news.
The Paschal Mystery does remain a mystery to us but is none the less real for that. We have been,
based on all praise ever be, redeemed “...with Your precious blood, as of a lamb without blemish and
1 Peter 1 v 19 without spot.”
Our reconciliation with our Father in heaven is through You, Lord Jesus,* Saviour of the entire

world. We have been shown such mercy of holy love, truly we are beneficiaries.
May the Spirit ever remind us of this that we in our turn will strive to be kindly, considerate
and compassionate with each other, sharing in the love the Trinity holds out to us.
Let the true value of our life be our focus on offering love’s service in Your name, Lord Jesus,
whatever it is the Spirit calls us to do, wherever we are to serve.
I ask that Your modern day disciples be prayerful, dutiful and fruitful, working in Your name,
inspired by the Spirit, seeing godly results all to the glory of God.

Let us be ever alert to the Spirit’s call that we be active in service, for we have been saved,
rescued from the sin which so besets us, that of selfishness.
We must live to become Christs, Lord Jesus, Master. Therefore we must not stray, but strive to
obey all holy precepts and principles. May our partaking of the Eucharist aid this.
May we never tire of being virtuous, for evident godliness must win through the morass of errant
worldliness. Father, forgive all we still get wrong.
Please bless us by Jesus, in the Spirit, in all of faith’s practices and outreach. I ask this in His
name, for He is true life to us. Amen.
