Remember November
Dying ember of autumn.
Red, red,
The leaves are shed,
As if life bled
To death.
Yet in the tree
Mysteriously
Life does carry.
The leaves off
November trees,
Are falling, dying.
Yet the seeds
Of tomorrow
Are already forming,
Life shaping
Month by month.
After the dying
Is always the rising
To new life.
The analogy for us
Is to look
At the † of Jesus.
New life promised
To all who
Hold faith.
Red, red,
His blood
Will be shed
For best reason.
Christmas, Easter,
Then Pentecost,
Remember November
Dying ember of autumn.
Red, red,
The leaves are shed,
As if life bled
To death.
Yet in the tree
Mysteriously
Life does carry.
The leaves off
