Tranquil within the will of God,
We find peace as we lift our heart
Mind, thoughts, intentions, actions to Him
And find grace in His response.
Mistakes and failures are mercifully dealt with.
Setbacks and shortcomings too, through love, holy love.
God desires only the best for us,
Therefore as we pray and persevere
To progress in all the ways of holiness,
He is kindly, caring, compassionate.
The sharing of our life under the Lordship of Jesus
Has an amazing affect,
Even to the extent of seeing miracles.
‘What miracle is this?’ we can ask ourselves,
Worries and the incumbent woes carefully dealt with.
“ ‘Oh, that you had heeded My commandments! Then your peace would have been like a river and Your
righteousness like the waves of the sea’.” Isaiah 48 v 18

For prayer is restorative, healing, therapeutic,
As we learn to seek obedience, the true reverence.
Yes, tranquil with the will of God,
We find peace enters our way of living,
Dealing a heavy blow to all manner of negativity.
And all because forgiveness sets us free.
A sense of tranquillity is within our reach
If we call up our ability to prayerfully ask,
Seeking, knowing we cannot earn forgiveness.
There is no fonder embrace than this,
The forgiveness offered through the †,
Life taking on a new shape with fresh purpose.
The wish for happiness is bound up with holiness
Found established in the Lord Jesus,
Us always placing ourselves within the will of God.
Presumably we have to thirst for righteousness,
To still our restless anxiety, that we experience tranquillity,
Only and entirely by being and remaining open to the Trinity.
“O God, You are my God; early will I seek You, my soul thirsts for You in a dry and thirsty land where there is no
water.” Psalm 63 v 1
