Snowdrops,
Heart stops.
Well almost!
Stops at the sight
The delight.
Possibly the thrill
That they will
In spite of fragility
Push determinedly
Through frozen, frosty, icy earth.
A bell
To swell with pride
The hope of the human heart has
Soon after the start
Of January moving into February,
Almost been ringing.
Saying spring will sometime appear,
The first growth of the year,
So let us be singing cheerfully.
