Called to be holy, by being loving,
It is made clear to us how
*2 Corinthians 6 v 4-10 As Paul vividly describes to us.*
Holy Spirit, Lord, prompt and persuade us
To give our assent willingly,
A wholehearted response and reaction to godly advice.
Let us see how working together,
You with Jesus according to the Father’s wishes
*John 17 v 11 And us in Jesus as He prayed for*
How we together in love’s unity, become a team
Enabled to change the face of the earth.
Help us make our mark in ministry
Taking the best news ever to others,
The Good News of Jesus securing love and forgiveness for us.
Bring us fully alive to thrive in His love,
Our calling from above to serve in this way.
I pray for success in our pursuit of holiness,
To be declared through the love of Jesus
And widely shared in our own community.
We are engaged in a lofty work of re-creation,
Our dedication made and displayed,
Entirely encompassed by the holy love of Jesus.
Holy Spirit, Lord, unite us to this
That we seek, accomplish, speak and build on love.
Live for each brother and sister, Your hand aiding,
Chiding us as necessary, re-aligning us with God’s purpose,
Drawing us ever deeper into friendship with Jesus.
Our ministry is to reflect Jesus’ love in us
So others may see Him, hear Him more clearly.
Let us then, make Jesus known by the love shown,
According to the amazing, gracious, power of God’s love,
His promise fulfilled in Jesus, shared by us.
