“Let me hear of Your steadfast love in the morning for in You I put my trust.” Psalm 143 v 8

Settle down, settle down!
Faith’s renown will carry you
Through the thick and thin,
Until you begin to really trust.
That must which Christ bids you give
So you can live care free.
See what He will do then,
When trust overtakes doubt
To clout the fear, dry the tear.
In Christ you will win,
Overcome sin by His grace.
Embrace His promise of life
Get rid of strife, receive peace.
A new release of faith’s strength
To carry you at length, onwards.

“Awake, my soul! I will awake the dawn and give You thanks, O God.” Psalm 37 v 8, 9

All that happens is for a reason,
Within season of Christ’s reckoning.
Recognise the beckoning, His call,
And fall into His waiting arms
There to be carried to a place of safety.
Trust breeds calm, calm brings peace.
To sing a new release of hopeful joy,
In Christ’s employ, empowerment, endeavour.
For now faith takes hold, firm root
To newly shoot, flower and flourish onwards.
Fresh growth following pruning
By the skilled work of His hand.
Held in His command, to trust, really trust,
To move onwards and outwards receiving a love worth giving!

“Lead me in Your truth and teach me for You are the God of my salvation.” Psalm 25 v 5

Lord “Dispel the confusions that cling close to my soul that I may see with eyes washed by
Your grace… that I may be well in my own soul and part of the world’s healing this day.” * 1 for
You said Lord “You will know the truth and the truth will set you free.” * 2 and I claim that promise
in Your name of merciful love. Amen
