Growth is at God’s rate.
He sets the date for completion.
Part of the glory of God
Is His sovereign authority over all,
All times, all places, all situations.
Growth is somewhat mysterious,
Hidden, silent, often happening slowly
And throughout nature very mysteriously.
God holds the building blocks of life.
He unlocks the potential.
So what exactly did March, April and May bring?
Spring!
The new spring growth.
There has been no sloth in winter,
Rather a resting time of slumber.
A preparation time, making ready
For the sure and steady growth of March.
March winds, April showers, undoubtedly
Will bring forth May flowers!
A timely reminder of the glory of God,
A new reign of beauty,
A vibrant energy of life and growth.
All of course, according to God’s purpose for
Spring!
Rejoice then in spring’s life and growth,
Then make way for summer!
Sometimes it is necessary to look back
In order to see how we are moving forwards.

Lord, You hold all the matters of life and growth in Your hands, calling us to co-operate with Your
plans that our growth like that of nature will happen. Let us know You in part more and more
richly for we believe in Your love for us.

Lord, through the various, ever beautiful aspects of life and growth in nature, please help us to
understand something regarding our own spiritual life and growth. May we identify where and
how progress has been made and offer all our thanks. “So we do not lose heart...our
2 Corinthians 4 v 16 inner nature is being renewed day by day.”
