By true design
Of God and us.
The pinnacle of this
Is enjoyed annually,
At Chelsea,
A feast of beauty
Lavish and lovely.
Everything done meticulously,
Your attention won beautifully.

Lord, Chelsea flower show reveals an urban oasis transformed to inspire our efforts at gardening. Thank You.
We gain vigour, optimism and delight in creativity when we garden, so no wonder Chelsea is celebratory. There
is justified jubilation in the results of fine design and hard labour, but none of this would be possible unless we
work together with You, the Master Creator.

It is a privilege to watch what is titled “The Greatest Flower Show on Earth,” where we see the magnitude
of the marvels of Your creativity and the dedicated enthusiasm Your Spirit puts into individuals, striving so
hard to develop special skills.
Thank You for all the triumphs we view. And the excitement when a contestant wins the top prizes of the
show even a second year running, such as Mark Gregory’s “Welcome to Yorkshire” garden, the People’s Choice
both last year and this, and Chris Beardshaw’s eco-friendly “The Morgan Stanley Garden.”
What hope we see in the growth of gardens tended carefully with marvellous results. In our rejoicing at the
glory of Chelsea, let us see in the results before us, Your hand in ours, able to truly transform life radically,
spectacularly and beautifully. Amen.
