“Trust...in the living God, who gives us richly all things to enjoy.” 1 Timothy 6 v 17
God cannot act, or more accurately,
will not act, unless you ask Him.
Christ stands outside the door of your heart
patiently awaiting for you to invite Him in.
God is there, everywhere, ready at all times.
But He needs to find you willing and responsive
to Christ’s yearning to be with you.
God is more than willing to talk
as Christ will walk beside you closely in faith.
But are you too busy to stop and listen to Him?
“This is the victory that has overcome the world, our faith. Who is (s)he who overcomes the world, but (s)he who
believes that Jesus is the Son of God?” 1 John 45 v 4, 5
God will come to support, strengthen and guide
for in Christ is all the divine wisdom and truth.
But are you willing to hand over the reigns of control?
God is very ready, more than ready
to answer your questions by His promises made evident in Christ.
But do you trust sufficiently?
God is all goodness, more than gracious
and always, but always generous in all things.
But He does require us to bring everything to Him.
Through Christ Jesus, our living, all loving Saviour Lord,
we have ready access to all the blessings of God,
the loving Father rich in merciful giving, more than eager to give.
“To all who received Him to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God.”
John 1 v 12
“From the fullness of His grace we have all received one blessing after another.” John 1 v 16
God of grace,
So well You understand our faults, the failure to turn to You, our sins, the shortcomings as we do
not listen and learn from You. Thank You for Your merciful understanding and tolerant patience.
May Your unfailing love draw us to Your side in Christ who is the reality of Your word living and
speaking. That word of holy truth we need to trust in, be guided and strengthened by. Never give
up on us.
Teach us to pray in all sincerity, “Show me Your ways, O Lord, teach me Your paths; guide me in
Your truth and teach me, for You are God my Saviour, and my hope is in
Psalm 25 v 4, 5 You all day long.” Deliver us from the evil of instability, insecurity and perhaps most harmful
of all, the inertia of indifference. Help us to recognise our every need of You, loving Father, and in
recognising, respond in trusting faith. Lord God, hear my prayer. Amen.
