“When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, the moon and the stars which You have ordained, what is
man that You are mindful of him, and the son of man that You visit him?”
Psalm 8 v 3, 4
The mountains and the moon and the stars and the sea,
What do I see?
I behold the grandeur of God in majesty.
The butterfly, the bulb, the bee and the ecology,
What do I see?
I behold the design of God, in the intricacy of every time and season.
Might and marvel, thought and detail, He is holy.

How can we fail to see the glory of God,
Fully presented in the macro and micro and all people?
“The earth is the LORD’s, and all its fullness, the world and those who dwell therein. He has founded it upon the
seas, and established it upon the waters.” Psalm 24 v 1, 2
The kingdom of God is in the world and all that therein is,
In all the generosity of God’s creativity.
An abundance, an opulence, a dedication,
Indeed a real celebration of life in all fullness.
Life in its immensity, life in its intensity,
Life in all creation according to God’s promise and authority.
So we witness the majesty and intricacy in detail of great beauty,
To realise that we too, are called to be
A part of God’s glory.
Surely this is the reason for the life of mankind!
“For You have made him a little lower than the angels, and You have crowned him with glory and honour.”
Psalm 8 v 5
Yes, in all times, places, seasons, we see the beauty of Your creation. “I will praise You, for I am
fearfully and wonderfully made; marvellous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well...How
precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How great is the sum of
Psalm 139 v 14, 17, 18 them! If I should count them, they would be more in number than the sand...” or the
stars in Your beautiful sky. Winter, spring, summer, autumn all the blessed year through, may we
all be a part of Your majesty and intricacy as we live for Your glory, holy Father. Let not the year
advance without an increase in our awareness.
“My heart is steadfast in You, O God; my heart is confident. No wonder I can sing Your
praises!...Your unfailing love is as high as the heavens. Your faithfulness reaches to the clouds. Be
exalted, O God, above the highest heavens. May Your goory shine over all
Psalm 57 v 7, 10, 11 NLT the earth’.” Amen.
