Thank You Lord for sending
Your loving, healing Holy Spirit
Revealing to me so much about myself.
Your Spirit does not like concealing
Wrong doings nor deceit nor despair nor disillusionment. * 1
Especially when they fiercely compete
For my time and attention
Taking me away from the purity of Your sanctity.

Your Spirit desires the wholeness of holiness fully,
In spirit, mind, heart, soul and body.
I am learning that my full welfare
Is of paramount importance to You, Lord. * 2
So You send this agitating Spirit of truth
Who consistently works, disrupts, interrupts,
- Albeit kindly and gently – to bring to the surface
That which I neither want to see nor remember,
Be made aware of, nor think about. But He insists! * 3

The Holy Spirit persists like lancing a boil, this hurts.
It hurts enormously as the poison within
Pours out * 4 to stop the wound becoming septic.
And in time damaging my entire being
In the pain amidst the tears and frustration.
Throughout the fears, You remain near me, Lord.
You realised I cannot manage alone. * 5

“In quietness and confidence shall be your strength” * 6
You say, and it seems to me to be the case
That you will go to any length to ensure
I perceive how I can receive the embrace,
The supporting, strengthening, sustaining embrace
Of Your all powerful, unconditional love.
That love which knows no limits,
Which holds no time restriction or clause of constriction. * 7
Freely You give so freely I can receive.

By grace You give, by willingness I receive.
Willingness to see, receive, * 8 welcome, understand
Your Spirit at work with all that He does command of me. * 9

You simply require me to be alert, sensitive, receptive and vigilant.
And like love, the more I receive of Your healing grace,
The more, the better, I am enabled to share out
With others some of the gift, uplift of Your wisdom.

Truth, total truth matters enormously to You,
Doesn’t it, Lord? I suppose that is not surprising,
When You come in God’s name to proclaim :
“The light has come into the world …
Whoever does the truth comes out into the light,
So that what (s)he is doing
May plainly appear as done in God …
He who comes from heaven …
Is attesting that God is true,
Since He whom God has sent
Speaks God’s own words
For God gives Him the Spirit without reserve.
The Father loves the Son
And has entrusted everything to His hands.” * 10
So the Father sends You, my loving Lord.

You Lord, send Your living and forgiving Spirit, * 11
Transforming my life by bringing me
From the darkness of doubt and disillusionment
To Your shining bright light of truth. * 12
All my darkness, those chasing dark shadows,
Will disappear before the beams of Your brightness. * 13
Expectant with faith, * 14 I become filled
From the treasury of Your holy wisdom and truth.
Your Spirit stirs me to desire, aspire to
The whole truth and nothing but the truth.
I can no longer shun this nor shy away,
For I seek Your face to see Your glory, Lord.

fair judgment; blessed are all who hope in Him. You will weep no more. He will be gracious to
you when your cry for help rings out; as soon as He hears it, He will answer you.”
Isaiah 30 v 18,19
In You is not only the power and the glory
Of my life’s entire story from now into eternity,
But the satisfaction of my spirit’s longing,
My soul’s desire, and my body’s complete healing.
A sound mind will find residence within me
To agree to give me Your perfect peace. * 15
You teach me so very much Lord. Thank You!
Today You plainly, audibly say to me :
“I have told you all this
So that you may find peace in Me. * 16

In the world you will have hardship, but be courageous,
I have conquered the world,” * 17 by My truth.

Now I can fight fear and distrust
- Including distrust of myself – in Your name, Lord.
Fear takes flight to completely disappear
In the face of Your tender-hearted, never failing love.
The Father sends You, You send the Holy Spirit
And together we win through as love and truth totally triumph. * 18

“Mercy and truth have met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other.”
Psalm 85 v 10

Loving force, course of life, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, You bind me to Yourself leading
by strings of love. * 19 May those words never be worn down by fear or doubt, to become
strings that snap. Depression, despair, dismay was never Your way. But the conquering
Spirit of truth, enable me to fight all that fails to please You, so I may fight with love, for
love, so to win. Begin to change me from the outside looking in, that I may own up to all
faults, failures, difficulties and disasters, knowing I am held completely secure in Your
firm arms of tender love. Bless me Oh Lord, by showing me Your way of life where we walk
in truth together. Amen.
