Lord Of Our Potential
Sue O'Donnell

“Many of those who heard the word believed...” Acts 4 v 4
God is with us, for us, in us.
There is no doubt about this,
For those who seek to believe in Christ Jesus
And receive our Brother as Saviour,
Lord of us, Lord of this Easter season,
Lord of earth, Lord of heaven,
Lord of our potential, making us reverential,
Dutiful in adulation, how beautiful!
“ ‘It is the Lord!” John 27

“Many of those who heard the word believed...” Acts 4 v 4
God is with us, for us, in us.
There is no doubt about this,
For those who seek to believe in Christ Jesus
And receive our Brother as Saviour,
Lord of us, Lord of this Easter season,
Lord of earth, Lord of heaven,
Lord of our potential, making us reverential,
Dutiful in adulation, how beautiful!
“ ‘It is the Lord!” John 27 v 1
We learn to trust in God’s loving kindness through Jesus,
Our Master, Shepherd, God’s Word to be heard.
Heard, listened to attentively, reverenced obediently.
For Jesus conquered death by forgiveness.
He is the Victor over all sin
That we begin to stretch to reach our potential.
That we become courageous preachers, evangelists
And apostles sent out on a mission with permission to teach.
And teach the gospel message of our potential to very many.
“...that which we have seen and heard we declare to you... truly our fellowship is with the Father and
with His Son Jesus Christ.” 1 John 1 v 3
“And these things we write to you that your joy may be full.” 1 John 1 v 4
Philippians 4 v 4 Therefore “Rejoice in the Lord always” being the Lord of our potential, the Lord of life in all
fullness which is the goodness of holiness. Thank You, dearest Father.
Thank You for our Saviour. Thank You for Easter, this precious day of joyful celebration
becoming a season to reflect in, to endeavour to connect more fully with the Lord of our
potential.
May we be dutiful in adoration, making faith the prime interest in each day, recognising how
the loving kindness You offer us in Jesus, by the Spirit, enhances our life tremendously.
May the Spirit help us to pray, to praise, to listen, to ask appropriately, then respond reverently,
our eyes fixed on Jesus, the Victor. Thank You that His death on the † of forgiveness has
changed everything for us.
Oh the fellowship of the Trinity, How can I possibly express the joy inherent in this? Yet I will
try to, in word, in deed, in script. Lord, please continue to help me. Amen.
