Glory and majesty,
Strength and beauty,
Wisdom and power
Are Yours
Lord God Almighty.
It is our duty
To praise You reverently.
Let not our personality
Get in the way
To mar Your sovereignty.
The Lord of all that is holy
Comes to earth for this:
To teach us all
That You consider to be of nobility,
Worthy of Your family.
This is the greatest calling,
Your kingdom building.
This is what Christmas is about,
To start the process,
To build on the Lord Jesus’ holiness,
Our true vocation.

Which in general will be the same for all of us, that is to give witness. I believe in You Lord God,
heavenly Father. I believe that the Lord of all that is holy comes to us at Christmas to remain by
His Spirit as God with us. I believe this because I know the difference in my own
Matthew 11 v 4 life. “ ‘Tell…what you hear and see: the blind are recovering their sight’” no longer
Cont. spiritually blinded by the world’s myriad attractions; “The lame are walking,” no longer
Cont. bound by fear and uncertainty; “Those with leprosy are being healed,” cleansed and restored
Cont. to the enjoyment of life; “The deaf are able to hear” not now deafened by the clamouring
Cont. voices of the world’s many philosophies; “Even the dead are being restored to life,” in the
Cont. One who is life as it is meant to be led; “And the good news is being preached to the poor,”
those with sufficient humility to listen. “The (wo)man who does not depart from his (or
v6 her) faith in Me is truly blessed,” by a certain hope and a sure knowledge.
Lord, there is no doubt about Your life, death and resurrection. An historical fact becomes a reality
to us personally when we seek You and ask to receive of You. You are the fulfilment of our
Father’s promise “Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will
