“ ‘Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life’.” John 6 v 68
Sin forgiven, driven away,
Now to be regularly kept at bay.
How best can we do this?
The reply is ‘In the Eucharist’
To be fed and nourished, cleansed and blessed
On the most precious body and blood of Jesus.
He is our faith’s strengthening
For He is our Deliverer Redeemer,
The One to set us free entirely.
This has to be an ongoing work in progress
As we ask and allow Jesus to enter us.
“The heavens are still: no sound, where then shall God be found? Seek not in distant shores, in
man’s own heart He lives.” Shao Yong
He does this in the Spirit, in the Eucharist,
Where richly we are addressed as family,
Invited to the banqueting table of our King.
We can bring ourselves, just as we are,
However far we have strayed away.
The thing is, not to stay away
But to come to Jesus in the Eucharist,
The One we can depend upon to save us from the enemy.
satan is kept at bay as we pray
And offer back in the Eucharist, the sacrifice of Jesus.
The result is God’s gift of goodness towards us, Spirit fed, led.
“For the Lord God is our light and our protector. He gives us grace and glory. No good thing will the
Lord withhold from those who do what is right.” Psalm 84 v 11 NLT

“ ‘It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to You are spirit and
they are life’.” John 6 v 63
