Praying is wishing
yearning
longing for the Trinity.
Praying is seeing
realising
admitting our belonging to God.
Praying is wanting
desiring
asking for God’s will.


“You, O LORD, are a shield for me, my glory and the One who lifts up my head. I cried to the LORD with my voice
and He heard...” Psalm 3 v 3, 4
Praying is learning
striving
toiling in Jesus’ name.
Praying is releasing
gaining
progressing through the Holy Spirit.
Praying is claiming
witnessing
worshipping the holy Trinity.
Praying is submitting
working
interceding together.


“Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.”

“ ‘Obey My voice, and I will be your God, and you shall be My people. And walk in all the ways that I have
commanded you, that it may be well with you’.” Jeremiah 7 v 23


Lord, I ask that our prayer is a daily act of submission, that we adhere to Your will, Your way,
Your word, dearest Father, as manifest for us in that love at work we see and hear through the
Lord Jesus. His obedience to You was perfect. May ours be too, out of love and respect. We must
honour all the grace and favour the Lord Jesus has won for us at the †.
John 10 v 27 “ ‘My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me’.” Unless we follow the
Lord Jesus’ example and instructions, we cannot serve You, holy Father. The loving instruction of
the Lord Jesus is life to us, for therein lies our holiness, “...when we received
based on the word of God...and welcomed it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word 1 Thessalonians 2 v 13 of
God, which also effectively works in us who believe.” We have to rely on the Lord
Jesus’ power to be effective. Thank You that we can pray and work together.
In the Lord Jesus is the promise of heaven touching earth to make it a better, kinder, fairer, more
just, gentler, blessed place to live. “I will declare the decree: the LORD has said to Me, ‘You are My
Son, today I have begotten You. Ask of Me, and I will give You the nations for Your inheritance, and
