In a nutshell :
God is good to us.
He gifts us Jesus.
We are reborn in Jesus.
Jesus sends His Spirit.
Faith, love and obedience
Are made possible
And essentially pursuable.
Faith brings us

Love for our Father
Shaped by the Spirit,
Having been sourced in Jesus,
Leads to love widespread.
We are fed
On Jesus’ gospel
Of wisdom through salvation.
The forgiveness shown us
– All thanks for the † –
Is to be shared out.
Jesus living in us,
-Give praise for the Eucharist especially
But also our life led sacramentally –
Jesus alive in us,
Active by the Spirit,
Is made attractive by love.
Love makes holiness
Bounded by God’s commandments,
Not burdensome nor irksome.
For the practical benefits
Of the law of holiness
Contributes to human good,
Fulfilling as when we
Learn to live lovingly.
Faith brings victory
Over the world’s temptations,
Over satan’s accusations,
Over fleshly ruminations.
By the Spirit of Jesus
We find a spiritual weapon
To wield against ungodliness,
For Jesus does possess us.
Faith is really straightforward :
“Whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ, is born of God and everyone who loves Him who begot also
loves him (her) who is begotten of Him.” 1 John 5 v 1
“By this we know we love the children of God, when we love God and keep His commandments.”
1 John 5 v 2
Lord God, holy Father, faith is so vital to our wellbeing, I thank You for Your graciousness
towards us in gifting us new life in Jesus.
Our Brother is not only inspiring in His exemplary character, the Lord Jesus is our Savour,
ensuring victory over sinfulness.
We do need the Spirit for this triumph. Please keep sending us the life changing, life building
anew, transforming Holy Spirit.
May Your Spirit fill us with the true knowledge and understanding we can use to shape life as
this comes directly from Jesus, the living Word.
Our faith must be sourced and shaped by means of seeking to share in all aspects of Jesus’
Colossians 1 v 27 holiness. “Christ in you, the hope of glory,” means we are to live virtuously.
Thank You for inviting us into the life of the holy Trinity, that with the love of Jesus and the
Spirit within us, Father God, we will endeavour to live by Your statues and observe Your
*Ezekiel 36 v 27 decrees.*
“Grant Lord, the prayer of Your servants, in the terms of Aaron’s blessing upon Your
Sirach 36 v 16, 17 people, so that all the earth’s inhabitants may acknowledge that You are the Lord, the
TNJB everlasting God.”
I ask this for without prayer there is no faith. “Without faith it is impossible to please You,
based on for (s)he who comes to You must believe that You exist, and that You are a rewarder of
Hebrews 11 v 6 those who diligently seek You.”
Grant us please, a steadfast faith in all You are, all Jesus achieves for us, all the Spirit can and
will accomplish, all the work of Your steadfast faithful kindness towards us.
Such power of holy love must attract and impact upon us to influence us in a godly manner.
“We love Him because He first loved us...And this commandment we have from Him: that 1 John 4 v
19, 21 (s)he who loves God must love his (her) brother (sister) also.”
May we all be spiritually strengthened to be Jesus’ envoys, His missionaries carrying the gospel
message far and wide, His witness, living to love just like Jesus did.
I ask for the Spirit to be our Companion and Lifelong Guide, that we seek and fulfil Your will,
dearest Father, adhering to our Saviour, working in His name. Fullness of love, like fullness of
life, becomes ours in Jesus. Let us strive to be fit for service.
Make us prayerful to this end, wise in our judgements, open to the Spirit’s impact and
inspiration and never, ever losing sight of the Saviour’s empowering love given to us.
“ ‘Those who remain in Me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from Me you
John 15 v 5 NLT can do nothing’.” Praise ever be for this reality, coming to pass as we place ourselves in Your
hands, holy Father.
Let us ever seek to do this through the love of Jesus impacting us according to the influence of
Your Spirit, success in holiness growing as we reach out in this way and pray.
I ask that the love of Jesus so freely, liberally, generously given to us – thank You for the † -
May His love enable us to love all others similarly.
In a nutshell, our faith is all about the astounding love of Jesus, evident to us, valued and
esteemed, exalted and practised, this is our daily life.
“And now abide faith, hope, love, these three, but the greatest of these is love. Pursue
1 Corinthians 13 v 13 love and desire spiritual gifts...” Let this love be our motto.
“Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of
1 John 4 v 7, 8 God and knows God... God is love.”
Thank You for the power of holy love made ours to share by praying to be daily living in Jesus,
our love made active and effective by the Spirit. May we see many godly results. Amen.
