Go with the flow
of the Holy Spirit.
Unlock your heart
and mind to find
the Spirit moving.
Don’t block His progress
by the stubbornness
of your own ideas,
or fear or preoccupation.
Dedication is required.
The call to prayer
where you openly share,
each with the other,
to discover wonders,
marvels and miracles
are all in God’s planning.
The Holy Spirit
is spanning your thoughts,
plans, ideas, feelings,
interceding for you
to go further
into your relationship
with God in Christ.
The Holy Spirit
will shine the bright light
of holy truth to combine
with your increasing, God releasing
wisdom and knowledge.
Be empowered by Him.
Begin today, in any way
you choose to invite Him in,
but ensure you begin!
Begin and you win
all manner of rich reward
way beyond anything you could
ever dare to afford.
Pray fervently, wholeheartedly,
passionately, committedly,
dynamically partnered
spirit to Spirit,
as God intended.
You will be supported,
guided, maybe chided,
but always consoled
and comforted lovingly.
You will be taught,
caught up in God’s love
above all you ever
thought or dreamed of.
You will be enriched
provided for, protected. * 1
Stay connected
to God in His Son,
the ever loving,
actively living for us,
Lord Jesus Christ.
Don’t rush.
Hush, be quiet.
Be still, be silent.
Set quality time
aside for this
is a special assignment.
Alignment with God
is an awesome happening!
Bring yourself before God
in all truth :
your faith and future;
your faults and failings;
your repentance and reparation;
your hopes and desires;
your wants and needs;
your amazement and adoration;
your praise and petition;
your family and friends;
your intercessions and inclinations;
your troubles and thanks;
anything, everything,
bring all things in your life!
“At all times … pray
and (do) not lose heart.” * 2
“O Father,
teach us to pray.” * 3
Be alert, be aware,
be energetic and fervent,
but you have no need
to be accomplished.
Come to God.
Just as you are
is fine, simply
combine with His Son
upon the power of His Spirit
and then their whole merit
is marvellously marked up to you!
Fruits of the Spirit * 4
will flourish,
as faith grows stronger.
Trust and hope
will become your
sure ground of confidence
found upon prayer.
Your soul and spirit
will be made sound,
ground in holiness.
Be permissive, so
the Father of love
may act within you.
Be submissive
to Christ’s calling,
falling in with
His way, His truth
to lead His life.
Overcome all strife
by prayer :
“ ‘Seek My face’
my heart said to You,
‘Your face, O Lord,
I shall seek’.” * 5
Speak words of
purity and righteousness.
Seek the beauty and contentment
sent by God alone.
You are never
far from home
whilst staying praying.
Remain in Christ’s heart,
For to be never apart is healing.
He will be revealing
much of heaven to you.
Abide in Him,
indeed hide in Him
for shelter from life’s storm.
Make His heart
your norm to reside in,
the port of call.
Fall readily, easily
into Christ’s arms
wide open with love.
“Long my imprisoned spirit lay
Fast bound in sin and nature’s night;
Thine eye diffused a quickening ray –
I woke, the dungeon flamed with light;
My chains fell off, my heart was free,
I rose, went forth and followed Thee.” * 6
Learn to love
with Christ’s love,
feel with His heart,
see with His eyes,
speak with His voice,
work with His hands
and continue to pray
that you will at
all times, in all ways
be able to say,
speak out, live by,
and know how to show,
God’s almighty wisdom.
Become the person
Christ calls you to be
as you see Him
at work with you,
and within you
through your prayer.
See your potential
in Christ.
It is providential,
the Father’s doing
ensuing in amazing things.
“For it is God
who works in you
to will and to act
according to His good purpose.” * 7
Make this good purpose
your very best intention.
Mention Christ’s name always.
Pray in Jesus’ name
then watch and wait
for miracles and marvels
to unfold and hold you captive!
“Delight yourself in the Lord
and He will give you
the desires of your heart.” * 8
Impart everything to the Father
through the Son,
by the working power,
hour by busy hour,
of the Holy Spirit.
Share those desires,
compare them with
whatever is on God’s heart.
This will always
be the start of
something good becoming yet better.
Place every single thing
in the hands of
the all loving God,
trustingly, truthfully, hopefully.
Pray today as never before.
“Glory in His holy name.” * 9i
and you will never ever
be the same again.
“Let the hearts of those
who seek the Lord rejoice.” * 9ii
Rejoice, proclaim,
name the Trinity “Holy”.
Amaze, delight
at what has been
done for you, with you, in you.
Through and through
all prayer, share your delight,
insight of God, praying
with heartfelt thanks
and all due praise.
Give glory to God
in the highest heaven,
and bring His release of peace
to all people on earth.
Pray today,
any way you can,
but pray.
It’s imperative!
“Do not learn the language of prayer, but seek the spirit of prayer, and God almighty
will bless you and make you more mighty in your supplications.” Charles Spurgeon
Lord, it has been said in all truth, “He who has learned to pray has learned the
greatest secret of a holy and happy life.” * 10 Send Your Spirit, Lord, to teach us to
pray. Amen.
