Heartfelt Praise
Sue O'Donnell

“ ‘Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added to you’.”
Matthew 6 v 33
Glory! God gives the victory,
Every victory against the enemy.
Bend the knee willingly in worship.
Lift the heart and mind in praise
To amaze at the richness
Of all His goodness towards us.
Exalt the mighty Trinity.
Offer all praise and thanks joyously.
No longer solitary, You place us in Your family, Father.

“Therefore I will praise You, O LORD, among the nations. I will sing praise to Your name.”
2 Samuel 22 v 50 NIV
Under the Leadership of Jesus as Lord,
As Word, as Shepherd, as King,
We bring You our heartfelt praise, warmly, confidently,
And truly amaze at all that You make holy.
A covenant promise of love ties us to You,
In the name of Jesus, by the Spirit,
That we come into enlightenment with You,
Anew, afresh, in total trust, in close relationship.
We submit to You, holy Three in harmony of love.
“I will give You thanks in the great assembly; among throngs of people I will praise You.”
Psalm 35 v 18 NIV
We come as one body made anew in Jesus,
Through the blessed working of the amazing life giving Spirit.
Let every part of our being seeing You at work,
Continue to look to You, to exalt in heartfelt praise.
Live in us Lord Jesus, live through us, abide, reside,
As we surrender totally to You, in all humility.
You guide us in all righteousness, pure delight, insight,
In endless mercy, steadfast kindness.

“Thine be the glory, risen conquering Son,
Endless in the victory Thou o’er death hast won”.
Opening of a hymn of E.L. Budry 1854-1932
Let us commit, submit unreservedly, undeservedly.
Embrace the Father of grace, firmly,
Doing this in the sacred authority of Jesus,
The perfect, divine, completely holy, perfect supremacy.
Our oneness is in the Lord Jesus, our worship.
We claim the supremacy of His all powerful name,
The same name as our Father, and the Spirit.
Thus we have to enter into Jesus,
Become His beating heart of love from above, rejoicingly,

“It is good to give thanks to the LORD, to sing praises to the Most High.” Psalm 92 v 1 NLT
We have died to sin, been raised to new life in Jesus.
What then is His call currently?
Surely, to fall at His feet and meet in praise, to offer worship,
That together we offer up each other in love,
In faith, not by sight, leaning on our own understanding, not at all.
We fall at the feet of the Master, God’s Word,
To be heard, followed, adhered to, worshipped, glorified.
Our new life is in Christ Jesus, God’s Son,
By His anointing, life transforming Spirit.
“I will praise You forever for what You have done; in Your name I will hope for Your name is good.”
Psalm 52 v 9 NIV
The Spirit is enabling us to enter into something newer, freer,
A time of resurrection, renewed connection.
Beauty out of the ashes of our failings,
Our spirits warmly, vigorously re-birthed, stirred up anew,
That all glory, power, splendour, wonder, authority
Is given back to the holy Trinity,
Our humanity touched by such divinity.
We move on as a renewed faith community
Called daily to offer the true worship in Jesus,
The Healer, the Redeemer, the Restorer,
Such joy we experience in being enabled to worship.
“ ‘Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come, Your will be done in
heaven as it is on earth’.” Matthew 6 v 13

“Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now
and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.” Traditional Christian prayer.
Dearest Father, thank You for placing us within Your family by making us brothers and sisters
of the Lord Jesus, that through Him, by the Spirit, we can offer You heartfelt praise.
The forgiveness the Lord Jesus wins for us, shows us Your endless, merciful kindness and all
loving compassion towards us. Thank You for the † of Jesus, the † of forgiveness granting us a
fresh start in life.
We extol Jesus’ righteousness without which we would be a lost cause. We plead Jesus’ merits
that Your Holy Spirit can be at work in kingdom service through us.
We esteem the sacred authority of the Master, our Saviour and submit humbly to this, listening
out for instruction and direction. May we be faithfully willing servants, making daily acts of
worship.
Let us see mankind’s resurrection in Jesus, as the Spirit makes this possible, renewing our
connection with holiness. For if we expect to hear from heaven, we will!
Thank You for drawing us into such an honourable divine partnership. We are delighted and
resolved to serve You to the utmost of our individual and collective ability, ever seeking to
glorify Jesus
based on “And Lord, You will deliver us from every evil work and preserve us for Your heavenly
2 Timothy 4 v 18 kingdom. To You as a Trinity, be glory for ever and ever.”
Psalm 75 v 1 NIV “We thank You, O God! We give thanks because You are near.” “With my mouth I will
Psalm 109 V 30 NIV give thanks abundantly to the LORD; and in the midst of many I will praise Him.”

Yes, with Jesus, our worship, touched at heart by the Spirit, ever we will offer all heartfelt
praise and rejoice to do so. “Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! His faithful love endures
Psalm 118 v 1 NLT forever.”

“God keeps for us what He does not wish to give us at once, so we may learn greatly
St Augustine to desire great things.” Let us see that when You do not grant answers to prayers as quickly
as we desire, we must approach You more often, plead, intercede more vigorously, striving to
unite ourselves to You, the Trinity, more closely in love.
Lord, grant us diligent care in seeking, finding, following Your will, Your calling, our
attempting to be glorifying the Lord Jesus. In the face of delay, stimulate our urge to know
You. Then in its eventual accomplishment, we prize this all the more and preserve it
vigorously, most carefully and joyously. Let us see any degree of perfection in adhering to Your
calling as pure grace to be celebrated.
“Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think,
according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to
Ephesians 3 v 20, 21 all generations, forever and ever. Amen.”
