I wonder which is the favourite colour of the rose?
Without a vote we can only guess, I suppose.
For me whereas usually I would think of pink
As my favourite colour of flower,
With this species I change!
The rose dressed in yellow is the best,
Sunny, happy, rich, delightful.
So colourful as to glow in fact.
The yellow rose which grows so prolifically
From early in the flowering season,
Will always attract my attention.
And I must mention the fact of association.
The yellow rose was my godmother’
