LORD to make you His people’.” 1 Samuel 13 v 22
Lord God, ever constant, trustworthy and true
I turn to You confidently.
What makes Your name great?
Our response to Your goodness gifted in Jesus.
Our alert response in the Spirit.
You make us Your people by inheritance.
You father us favourably, gloriously, lovingly.
We are never forgotten, never forsaken.
You lead us in Jesus, by the Spirit,
In the good and right way of holiness.
You richly bless us as we pray,
Asking but very little from us.
“ ‘Only fear the Lord, and serve Him in truth with all our heart; for consider what great things He has
done for you’.” 1 Samuel 13 v 24

“Happy are the people who are in such a state; happy are the people whose God is the Lord.”
Psalm 144 v 15
Psalm 145 v 1 “I will extol You, my God, O King,” my most gracious, all loveable Father of great majesty,
supreme authority and perfect holy love.
v2 “Every day I will bless You,” as best I can in word, in intention, in decision, deed and action.
Cont. “And I will praise Your name forever and ever” for it is holy, so lovely.
You are the Blesser, offering us in Jesus, by the Spirit, the capacity to live a richly blessed and
fully fulfilled life of love, of witness, of worship.
v3 How profoundly You bless us in innumerable ways, Your “...greatness is unsearchable.” “One
v4 generation shall praise Your works to another, and shall declare Your mighty acts,” share
these too.
What a great work of salvation You have wrought through the death and resurrection of Christ
Jesus, whereby we are made a new creation in the Holy Son.
It is in Your Son, by Your Spirit, we can declare “ ‘Great and marvellous are Your works,
Revelation 15 v 3 Lord God Almighty! Just and true are Your ways, O King of the saints.”
v4 “Who shall not fear You, O Lord, and glorify Your name? For You alone are holy” as a
Throne of perfect love offered us.
“For all nations shall come and worship before You,” because at the † of the Lord Jesus,
Cont. “Your judgements have been manifested.” Thank You.
I will meditate on this glorious work of salvation, a truly wondrous, holy work of redemptive
love so precious to us. What an awesome act.
Ever mankind “Shall utter the memory of Your great goodness, and shall sing of Your
Psalm 145 v 6 righteousness,” so full of merciful love and compassion towards us.
In Your goodness we come to realise that through the forgiveness Jesus won for us, Your “...
v9 tender mercies are over all....”
Everybody, everything should praise You, heavenly, holy Father of love. “And Your saints shall
v 10, 11 bless You. They shall speak of the glory of Your kingdom and talk of Your power”
unsurpassed.
Father of love, “Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and Your dominion endures
v 13 throughout all generations”. May this be to our true happiness and Your ultimate glory. I
ask all of this in Jesus, Your name’s sake. Amen.
