“For my part, far be it from me that I should be against the Lord by ceasing to plead for you or to instruct you in the
good and right way.” Sirach 12 v 23
“For my part, far be it from me that I should be against the Lord by ceasing to plead for you or to instruct you in the
good and right way.” Sirach 12 v 23
Breaking free from whatever fetters and binds,
Is to come before the Lord prayerfully, daily.
“Pray all the time, asking for what you need,
Praying in the Spirit on every possible occasion.
Ephesians 6 v 18 Never get tired of staying awake to pray for all God’s people.”
Prayer brings about the success of many a landmark victory in faith.
For do You not say to us, Father,
“When you call to Me, and come to plead with Me, I will listen to You.” Jeremiah 29 v 12
“You chart the path ahead of me
And tell me where to stop and rest.
Psalm 139 v 3 Every moment You know where I am.”
Prayer and practicality must go hand in hand
So we know when and where to embark upon the actuality of a need,
But equally importantly when and where to simply stop and pray.
For prayer releases answers from the storehouse of blessings.
“God by calling you has joined you to His Son Jesus Christ, and God is faithful.” 1 Corinthians 1 v 9
Prayer is where, Father, You generously grant us
The grace to put our trust in Your blessings of holiness
Rather than relying upon our own short-sightedness.
“The grass withers, the flower fades,
Isaiah 40 v 8 But the word of our God stands forever.”
Father, You grant us the gift of coming before You
In the Lord Jesus, according the work of Your Spirit.
“Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.”
1 John 5 v 14
And answers us, all praise ever, ever be!
The foundation of our faith must be the Lord Jesus,
For in Him we have the victory over all that is worldly,
As His Spirit of holiness excites and inspires us.
Every prayer prayed is a landmark in the difference made,
By overcoming all manner of adversity
Until we finally defeat the enemy we meet all too frequently.
“In God alone there is rest for my soul, from Him comes my safety; He alone is my rock, my safety,
my stronghold so that I stand unshaken.” Psalm 62 v 1, 2
“Rest in God alone, my soul! He is the source of my hope. He alone is my rock, my safety, my stronghold, so that I
stand unwavering. In God is my safety and my glory, the rock of my strength…
Once God has spoken, twice I have heard this: Strength belongs to God.” Psalm 62 v 5, 6, 7, 11
“Also to You, O Lord, belongs mercy; for You render to each one according to His
Psalm 62 v 12 work.” So please keep us faithful to prayer. I am sorry dearest Father, when I have failed in
this and have made wrong choices. Teach me please, to be more alert to all that it is that You
