“Everyone who truly believes that God is the Christ, God’s Son, has received the birth which comes from God. He is
your Father. So if you love Him, you will love His children as well.” 1 John 5 v 1

Dearest Father, Your longing and desire for us,
Is the plan and purpose of holiness.
That is why salvation comes through the † of the Lord Jesus.
The hope, peace and joy of love are Your focus.
You delight for us to share the uprightness of the Lord Jesus,
Such is the generous goodness of all You gift us by.
To become holy is to live lovingly, eternally for Your glory.
“No matter how many promises God has made, they are ‘Yes’ in Christ, and so through Him the ‘Amen’ is spoken
by us to the glory of God.” 2 Corinthians 1 v 20
“Yes, You are my rock and my fortress,
Psalm 31 v 3 Therefore, for Your mercies’ sake lead me and guide me,”
For life certainly is not easy to walk and talk,
Along the straight and narrow way of holy daily living.
Lord, teach us to pray and seek Your generosity of help.
Come Holy Spirit, with all Your power and influence.
Teach us and lead us in the way of the holiness of the love of the Lord Jesus.
“Oh, love the LORD, all you His saints! For the LORD preserves the faithful…” Psalm 31 v 23
“Be of good courage and He shall strengthen your heart, all You who hope in the LORD.”
Psalm 31 v 24
Life will be made as holy as we pray for it to be. “Blessed is (s)he whose transgression is
Psalm 32 v 1 forgiven, whose sin is covered.” Lord, I am truly sorry when I get things wrong. Grant me the
humility to own up immediately. “Blessed is the (wo)man to whom the LORD does not
v2 impute iniquity … I said, ‘I will confess my transgressions to the LORD,’ and You
v5 forgave the iniquity of my sin.”
Come Holy Spirit, teach me to be in constant touch with my Father by coming into an ever
deepening love relationship with the Lord Jesus. He alone is my progress in holiness. “I trust
in the LORD. I will be glad and rejoice in Your mercy, for You have considered my
Psalm 31 v 6, 7 trouble,” the all too many times I falter and fail.
“You have known my soul in adversities, and have not shut me up into the hand of the
Psalm 31 v 8 enemy; You have set my feet in a wide place.” “Not that I claim to have received all that Philippians 3 v 12
God has for me,” not yet, but I will keep praying and striving to do better.
Life-changing Father, how I thank and praise You for the power of prayer. To pray and sincerely
say “ ‘Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Your name, Your kingdom
Matthew 6 v 9 come, Your will be done’,” in my life and the life of all those I pray for, has a very, very far reaching
effect.
“I am always moving forward to take hold of everything that Christ Jesus had planned to
Philippians 3 v 12give me when He laid hold of my life.” “God is our refuge and strength, a very present Psalm 46 v 1
help in trouble, therefore we will not fear,” but put faith into action and so live with hope.
