Lord God Almighty, Creator of beauty
In all places all about us,
In all forms and portraits of vivid colour,
Painted expressly to be truly lovely.
What a thrill to recognise You in this.
Beauty holds out Your purpose before us,
That of recognition of You as Father Creator of wonder.
We delight at the insight of Your power.
Beauty befriends us and we worship in our kinship,
Blessed sense of being a part of this Your world, Father.
The heart that plans life does so in loveliness.

Thank You for this, how joyous it makes us feel.
We see creation’s story unfolding before us in all that is beautiful.
Creator of wonder, we rejoice in Your choice of life,
That service which places beauty before us so vividly.
“If I give you a rose you cannot doubt God any more” said Tertullian. I know this to be true, Creator of
wonder and I thank You, truly I do, for beauty always makes me conscious of Your presence. It has to, as there
is no other reason for beauty’s existence other than to gift us a sense of Your presence, Father Creator.
Oh the joy of knowing that we belong to You. Thank You for opening our eyes to see this as we look to the
glories of a summer garden in all its fullness of colour. Amen.
