Therefore the most Sacred Heart of Jesus
Is made pertinent to us in the gift of the Eucharist.
Give thanks for this love without end.
Our Father in heaven comes to us in the Eucharist through Jesus.
Love is our Father’s highest concern for us.
Therefore in the Eucharist He gifts us
The fullest divinity made ours in Christ Jesus
That we live as God’s family
Strengthened to take up the opportunity of ministry working in charity’s
outreach.
“The counsel of the Lord stands forever, the plans of His heart to all generations...Behold the eye of
the LORD is on those who fear Him, on those who hope in His mercy to deliver their souls from death,
and to keep them alive in famine.” Psalm 33 v 11, 19
The fullness of Jesus’ love overflows to us
Coming from the Eucharistic nourishment.
Heaven sent as grace as we receive this precious sacrament,
The Spirit leads us in this empowering our understanding
In the commanding of faith’s principles to love.
We are made sure of these coming from the Eucharistic nourishment,
Where our power is received from the Spirit of Jesus,
Drawing us towards the most Sacred Heart of love,
So powerful in its direct effectiveness coming from the Eucharistic nourishment.
“The Sacred Heart of Jesus ...is quite rightly considered the chief sign and symbol of that ...love
with which the divine Redeemer continually loves the eternal Father and all human beings without
exception.” The Catechism of the Catholic Church 478
“Devotion to the Sacred heart ...calls for a fundamental attitude of conversion and reparation, of
love and gratitude, apostolic commitment and dedication to Christ and His saving work.”
Directory on Popular Piety and the Liturgy 166, 172
Let the sacredness of the Lord Jesus touch us profoundly coming from the Eucharistic
nourishment which we are so generously gifted. May we never take this for granted, especially
as the Sacred Heart speaks of love.
So as to share in this power of love, let us consecrate ourself body and soul as well as spirit, to
the nourishing, life giving presence of Jesus, profoundly grateful for the Eucharist.
For although iniquities prevail against us, we plead the forgiveness found at the †and
celebrated at the Eucharist.
“You have delivered my soul from death, my eyes from tears, and my feet from falling. I
Psalm 116 v 8, 9 will walk before the LORD in the land of the living.”
Thank You dearest Father, for Your intervention in our lives through Your Son, an effectiveness
taught us by Your Spirit of love who ever illuminates the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
In Your Son, let us place all our ideas, intentions, decisions, actions, all our labours in service,
our hopes, our disappointments even, our consolations and reassurance.
May the love of Jesus’ Sacred Heart empower us, both in His divinity and His humanity. Let
this fullness touch us as we become intimately united, a progress emanating from the Eucharistic
nourishment.
United with the Sacred Heart of holy love, may we possess You as our Saviour forever Lord
Jesus, King of Glory for all eternity.
Prepare us now for this, strengthening our faith as You nourish us to do our Father’s will out of
love, with love, for the sake of love, as Your ministry shows us. Remind us that love lives on,
this is the point of Your Sacred Heart. May we ever feed on this to the honour of the Trinity.
Amen.
