“I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God.” Isaiah 61 v 10

Honour God to the fullest,
Advent such a time as for this.
Rely upon His promise,
For Jesus will make for us
All the difference in the world.

“Be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labour is not in vain.”
1 Corinthians 15 v 58
Claim your fame in Jesus’ name.
Be yoked securely to Him
And begin to live full faithfully,
Offering whatever service you can
In the name of your Brother, our Saviour.

“And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father
through Him.” Colossians 3 v 17
Always begin anew through Jesus,
And the blessed work of the Holy Spirit,
The Spirit of faith’s holy love
Sent directly as grace and gift from above.
Jesus will now live in us, hopefully immaculately.

“For He has clothed me with the garments of salvation, He has covered me with the robe of righteousness....”
Isaiah 61 v 10

“For as the earth brings forth its bud, as the garden causes the things that are sown in it to spring forth, so the Lord
GOD will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations.”
Isaiah 61 v 11

Come Holy Spirit, of our faith’s development. Help us to make this season of Advent an
especially blessed time of preparation, making well ready to receive such an important Guest as
our Saviour Jesus, our Father’s best blessing and grace, a profound favour. Prepare us please to
entrust ourselves fully to Jesus’ loving care and attention. Guide and guard us in all our actions,
by developing the love we benefit from in Jesus. May His love be ever at the heart of our faith, protecting us
and all we have dealings with. Grant us a real hope in all the blessings about to unfold once Jesus is born
amongst us as the everlasting light of God. May the Lord Jesus teach us to always turn to our Father for
mercy, for forgiveness of all wrongs, for a fresh start. Enable us to put all weaknesses behind us. I ask in
Jesus’ powerful name, such a blessing for us. Amen.
