All because of the birth of a baby boy,
God’s own gift to us in His Son.
Christmas is blessed,
The best time of the year
As God does appear, near to us as love.
Blessings and rejoicing, God is here,
Here in His Son, the One to depend upon.
Give glory for this Christmas story.
It is a narrative factual not fictional.
The Lord Jesus all holy, took on humanity.
“That was the true Light, which gives light to every (wo)man coming into the world’.” John 1 v 9
This can only be the generosity of love,
True happiness in the holy
Graced, gifted generously in a baby!
Divested of glory, He must surely
Consider us worthy of His time and effort.
So the Lord of all peoples, times and places
Comes to us at Christmas as the opportunity!
The possibility for us to seek God’s favour, enjoy His love.
A love offered to the uttermost, coast to coast.
The flavour of Christmas is happiness,
Happiness and holiness found bound up
In the Child Jesus, heaven come to earth.
