Sit amidst a tranquil scene
And dream in the silence.
Either linger over a happy memory,
Or maybe ponder the wonder of life.
Ask the vital questions silently in your heart.
What is life for?
Why am I here?
What is important?
How should I spend my time?
What do I value and why?
If reflectively still and silent sufficiently,
Then you will see
That the Lord God of majesty
Has placed eternity
Upon our heart, in our mind,
That we seek to find Him.

Upon our heart, in our mind,

And there is no time
Like that of the present.
For who knows what tomorrow will bring?
Surely this day is precious?
God seeks to speak with us
In the moment.
The vital question is:
Do we make time
And silent space amidst the race of life
To hear what God will say?
Do we not need separate time
In order to pray?
That we may hand over
To the all loving authority
Of our heavenly Father,
Trusting in His providence.
“ ‘Therefore do not worry about tomorrow,
For tomorrow will worry about its own things.
Sufficient for the day
Matthew 6 v 34 Is its own troubles’,” we are told.
Chase these away.
As you pray
Release the fear, or worry,
Or troublesome memory.
Sit, be still, be silent
And dream happily.
You can do this
By knowing with certainty
God is not far away.
Life is made supremely happy
By a sense of His presence.
Find then a silent space,
A place of complete tranquillity
Where you can meet with God,
The ability found in prayer.
Lord, thank You for every silent space where we can pray, thereby becoming more aware of Your presence. It
is so good to know of this for You offer us security, freedom from worry and a true satisfaction in knowing
Your friendship. How generous You are! Amen.
