Sit on a seat to meet with God quietly.
Choose a place of beauty
For the surroundings can inspire us,
Higher our thoughts beyond, above the mundane.
Seek to frame Your understanding
In the light of God’s creativity,
Seeing everything good under the sun,
Made by One who offers love, just love to us.
Love from above is to be not just experienced,
But enjoyed fully, valued frequently.
So look about you for a scene of beauty
Where most clearly God’s hand is at work to share.
Do not shirk the responsibility to respond.
Prayer is a two way conversation,
A communication between God and us.
An abundance of azaleas, of all colour,
A riot of richness with a riot of rhododendrons,
The finest display of May,
Possibly you cannot beat this opportunity to pray.
So get outside to meet with our Father,
Who, I am sure, would rather
We greet Him happily, contentedly, sitting
Somewhere, anywhere amidst a scene of His beauty.
Enjoy the tranquillity of spending time prayerfully.
Do not miss this spring time, fine opportunity,
God gifted to lift our hearts heavenwards, homewards.
How glorious, utterly glorious is God’s goodness,
Let us then offer in all sincerity our thanks and praise,
As we amaze at the wonder of God’s spring colour.

Thank You Lord, for every colourful scene of spring beauty, so well able to have a calming, quietening effect
upon us. Glorious indeed is Your work, dearest Father of creativity. May we rest contentedly amidst the glory
of Your beauty. Amen.
