“Good and upright is the LORD, therefore He teaches sinners in the way.” Psalm 25 v 8
We remember this thankfully in the Eucharist,
The saving action of the Messiah Jesus
Gifting a new and eternally blessed life to us.
What a blessed and holy purpose,
Heaven reaching out for us in love for us.
Thank God for the purpose of the Eucharist,
And make the most of this heavenly banquet so holy.
“Offer the sacrifices of righteousness and put your trust in the LORD.” Psalm 4 v 5
“Oh, how great is Your goodness, which You have laid up for those who fear You, which You have
prepared for those who trust in You in the presence of the sons of men!” Psalm 31 v 19
Your goodness impacts upon us through Jesus, Holy Father. “The humble He guides in
Psalm 25 v 9 justice, and the humble He teaches His way,” for Jesus models for us the way we are to live.
May we ever give of our best in being discipled by the Master Jesus, here in the Eucharist to
remind us of His †of salvation.
Redeemed, “All the paths of the LORD are mercy and truth, to such as keep His covenant
v 10 and His testimonies.” May we find the strength and commitment to do this by delighting in
coming to the Eucharist.
Dearest Father, as You reach out for us in this recognisable way, we pray and say “For Your
v 11 name’s sake, O LORD, pardon my iniquity, for it is great,” but we claim the forgiveness You
offer us in Jesus.
Thank You for having compassion upon us, such steadfast loving kindness and faithfulness
speak of Your greatness, abundant in love, noble in mercy.
based on “Blessed be the LORD, for You have shown us Your marvellous kindness.” Ever please, as
Psalm 31 v 21 we turn to Jesus in holy communion, remind us of salvation, Your free gift to us.
based on v 16 “Make Your face shine upon Your servant; save us for Your name’s sake,” and we will
worship You through Jesus, full of gratitude.
“As His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through
2 Peter 1 v 3 the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue.”
May our devotion to Jesus ever grow stronger as we feed on His holiness so generously offered
us. May we never take this blessing for granted but ever give thanks for our commitment.
Thank You for the pure share which provides all that we need for godliness. How joyous it is to
partake in the Eucharist, a heavenly banquet as Jesus comes to indwell us.
“I would have lost heart, unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the
Psalm 27 v 13 LORD in the land of the living,” but I do not have to suffer this, for finding Jesus is
discovering a heap of blessings poured upon us. Thank You. Amen.
