Sow from the love of our Father.
Grow a flower or two or three in wide variety.
There are many to choose from fortunately,
And any will do
If your intention is to show God’s care
In the love you share.
Find a garden space anywhere
And get busy!
Think of this philosophy:
“The grand essentials to happiness in this life
Are something to do,
Something to love

All three can be present in planting,
In growing a flower for love,
Entirely for the glory of God.
Create a garden of colour,
And life is undoubtedly made richer,
Fuller we see, once made happy.
God gifts growth of happiness
Wherever it is love flourishes.
Love promises, delivers so much,
The hand of God’s gentle touch upon us,
An energy of growth of flower freely,
Tirelessly, relentlessly, happening in summer,
Seek to be a part of this.
A place where beauty holds the key,
Having the ability to offer us
Something colourfully lovely indeed.
Yes, sow from the love of our Father,
Grow a flower or two or three in wide variety,
Open up the possibility of seeing, hearing, responding
To God’s call to being a part of His work.
Shirk not this most happy responsibility, the call of creativity.
It is entirely worthy of your effort, time, skill, attention.
It is never too late
To add a splash of colour to life.
Better be busy then, so get growing!
Sowing love is to be sowing something eternally.
Now that is to the glory of God, thankfully.
Dearest Creator Father, may we seize the opportunity to sow colour by flowers, lighting up the world wherever
they grow. We plant and water, but You it is who gives the growth. Thank You for this glorious opportunity
to see Your hand at work and for us to be a part of this task. You offer us a taste of Your happiness in
gardening, in becoming co-creators. May we never miss the opportunity to grow a flower for love of You. Amen
