“Our Father, may everything I do begin with Your inspiration, continue with Your help, and reach perfection under Your guidance.” (Source not known)
We pray to and through the Lord Jesus,
He who is the gift God grants us,
A living hope, God’s promise to ever be with us.
Jesus is therefore, for all who believe in Him,
All who receive Him as their personal Saviour,
The living, active, appealing Word of God,
Still repealing all our sinfulness by His †.
Forgiveness is the mercy of God, as gifted in Christ Jesus.
Our holy Brother is our Saviour Redeemer,
The living hope restoring us to grace and favour.
The map of life is drawn for us in Christ Jesus.
“ ‘I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me’.” (John 14 v 6)
His Spirit, the Father’s Spirit, is the compass,
Always but always pointing the correct way forwards.
We journey home to heaven, a way forged by Jesus,
The One who is God’s protection and provision in the Spirit.
The Spirit of life accompanies us in Jesus, the Christ.
Jesus is the way that leads to God’s truth.
The truth regarding the necessity of holiness,
This opens up the way forwards to heaven for us.
We live by faith, by prayer, seeking and mercifully finding
Wisdom in the God given truths of Christ Jesus.
God’s power is holy, a love that is totally holy revealed to us by Jesus.
“ ‘Did I not say to you that if you would believe, you would see the glory of God’.” (John 11 v 40)
Holy love is gifted us through Jesus’ life and sacrificial death,
As made relevant, significant and important to us,
By means of the teaching, life enriching Spirit.
We learn to approach life accompanied by Jesus.
He, as the living hope, becomes our heart’s reference,
Our mind’s wisdom, our conscience alerted, our will possibly diverted.
We journey through life together with Jesus, our Saviour.
The Redeemer lives to give us hope for our future,
A future fully blessed when possessed of Jesus,
His Spirit impacting upon us vigorously daily,
As long of course, as we pray for the necessary help.
“ ‘If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also, and from now on you know Him and have seen Him’.” (John 14 v 7)
“ ‘Most assuredly I say to You, (s)he who believes in Me, the works that I do, (s)he will do also and greater works than these, (s)he will do because I go to My Father. And whatever you ask in My name that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it’.” (John 14 v 12, 13, 14)
Lord Jesus, I praise and thank You for living and dying as the saving grace of our Father’s merciful love for us, so dramatically shown at the †and re-called in every, daily, world wide celebration of the Sacramental
Mystery, our holy communion with the Trinity.
I ask that Your loving care be in charge of all we think, desire, plan, decide, do and offer, for Your love is the most powerful force for good on earth.
May Your Spirit inspire our ideas, intentions, decisions and actions by filling our mind with Your wisdom, as He fills our heart with Your love.
Let all that is evil be put behind us, satan no longer able to hold us in bondage to his deceit and evil trickery, for we are blood bought children who name You as Saviour and proclaim You as Redeemer. As we receive this mercy, may we learn to be merciful in return.
Your Spirit is holy. May He fill our mind accordingly, enabling us to capture every evil thought and banish it in Your name of victory over all that is evil, as established at the †of our salvation. Thank You for our
healing help, such loving care.
May this care inspire us to care for each other perseveringly, prayerfully overcoming difficulty, trial, tribulation and many a challenge. Where the power of holy love is evident, we will not be defeated by satan.
Wisdom given will aid us to keep our feet firmly fixed within Your kingdom upon earth, whilst looking up to heaven, for we will remain in Your presence, asking for Your joy to be our strength always.
No longer doing, nor thinking, or saying anything which will separate us from You, we thank You for being the way we must live to give glory to the Trinity and to find our way home to heaven.
As we long for heaven’s peace and joy, let us never lose sight of You on earth, the living hope our Father has promised and fulfilled, as Your Spirit guides and guards us until we reach eternal life with You, to be
changed from glory to glory.
For all You are to us, all You mean, all You signify, all You do to save us from hell and the final separation from the love of the Trinity, I praise and thank You. Also for all You do, I offer all thanks and praise.
Lord, the living hope of our holiness, make us holy. So share Your life with us by the enriching Holy Spirit, let us overflow with love for You, expressing our adoration and admiration in charitable works of Christian
service.
Please look upon us favourably. Keep us praying, not only to offer all praise and thanksgiving, but repenting quickly as often as we impair our friendship, asking for an increase in Your Spirit’s help, such an amazing,
life guiding support, so much so our world can be turned upside down for the better.
May You always be our reference point, the Spirit of wisdom safeguarding us fully as we pray at all times, not only when struggling. Ever be our Leader and Master that we build a strong and fruitful friendship with You and through You, with each other noticeably.
For we are profoundly blessed, having been given a new birth through great mercy. Praise ever be to the Lord God, who has given us a living hope because the Lord Jesus lives, so we can look to the future expectantly and thankfully.
May we, graced by the Spirit, always have a ready answer for the hope in the Lord Jesus which so motivates us, enabled to answer probing questions respectfully in our enthusiasm. Nothing we say or do must put
others off seeking to find life’s meaning and purpose.
Let the discovery always be in finding the friendship of Jesus. Let us pray for each other, for this to happen.
“ ‘Until now you have asked for nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full’.” (John 16 v 24)
In recognising and responding to who the Lord Jesus is, and all He accomplishes for us, all He means to daily life, may the Holy Spirit ensure that we have to practise what we preach, in order to bring blessings about, and this will always involve the need to pray, seeking divine assistance.
“ ‘If you know these things, blessed are you if you do them’.” (John 13 v 17) We have to show that we are motivated by and dedicated to the love the Lord Jesus offers us, even when this involves hardship and suffering.
“For this very reason, giving all diligence,” may we pray and work to “Add to our faith, virtue, knowledge, self-control, perseverance, godliness, kindness and love.” (based on 2 Peter 1 v 5, 6, 7) For then our life will not be meaningless, but fruitful in service.
We battle against temptation to serve self and the lure of the world daily, but we have to set a good example to encourage non-believers to come to faith.
May we then “Keep firm control of ourselves so as not to live to please our natural, disordered, sinful desires.” (based on 1 Peter 5 v 8). May the Spirit always alert us to every attack of the enemy, helping us to win over this by praying and proclaiming our belief in the living hope of Jesus.
It is through our Saviour Brother grace is given to us, and we will come to know eternal glory, having been restored to favour by love and being kept spiritually strong by this power. May we be firm in faith because we
are steadfast in obedience. And to the Trinity be the glory forever. Thank You for our Saviour. Amen.
