“ ‘This is the covenant I will make with the House of Israel after those days, says the LORD; I will put My law in their minds and write it on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people ...’ For they all shall know Me...For I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more.”
(Jeremiah 31 v 33, 34)
O Lord God of mercy,
Out of Your steadfast loving kindness
Hear our heartfelt plea.
“Heal me, O LORD, and I shall be healed. Save me, and I shall be saved, for You are my praise.” (Jeremiah 17 v 14)
As Your family we amaze
At Your steadfast loving kindness,
In sending the Lord Jesus, Your promise to us.
“ ‘I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through Me’.” (John 14 v 6)
What an offer of love.
What a profound mercy.
We become family in Your Son.
“For both He who sanctifies and those who are being sanctified are all of one; for which reason He is not ashamed to call them brethren.” (Hebrews 2 v 11)
“ ‘Alleluia! For the Lord God Omnipotent reigns! Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him the glory...” (Revelation 19 v 6, 7)
For the Lord Jesus as Saviour lives in us,
Pledging to send us the Spirit of holiness,
He who purifies and sanctifies us.
“ ‘If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you ‘Give Me a drink’, you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water’.” (John 4 v 10)
This is the cleansing and refreshing
Healing even, water of the Holy Spirit,
In whom life develops the merit of holiness.
“Stand fast therefore, in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage.” (Galatians 5 v 1)
We are set free, most gloriously free!
Free from satan, free from sin.
Free to begin again, our new life in Christ Jesus.
“ ‘Do not be afraid; I am the First and the Last. I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore’.” (Revelation 1 v 17, 18)
“Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God.” (Isaiah 41 v 10) Thank You Lord God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, for acting as One, promising: “I will strengthen you; yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand’,” (Cont) who we now know is the Lord Jesus, who in accord with Your all loving mercy dearest Father, once ascended and glorified as Your plan of salvation decreed, Jesus sends to all who ask for this, the active and effective Spirit of faith, our Enabler. Thus we are saved and sanctified. The gift of God is to be praised. Let us pray with thanksgiving daily. Amen.
