“Do not want everything to turn out as you think it should, but rather as God pleases. Then you will be undisturbed and thankful in your prayer.” Abba Nilus “Sayings of the Desert Fathers”
Be never tiring in aspiring to serve our Father.
By means of living in Jesus, according to the Spirit.
Ever working to increase our pursuit and possessing holiness in Jesus.
It is only by holiness we are transformed
Into the blessing of a likeness to Jesus.
Partake then of the holy Eucharist for this reason.
Jesus living in us, gives witness to the charity of holy love.
We give of our best by living through Jesus,
His power of love active and ever effective,
For the directive to love comes from Jesus Himself.
He tells us to do what He would will us to do
So as to honour, obey and lovingly respect our Father in heaven.
“ ‘Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven’.”
Matthew 6 v 10
Hallowed be the Trinity of love and mercy, fully,
Throughout the world entirely, in every race and community.
The kingdom of love set up by the Lord Jesus
We must maintain as established and this is to be extended further.
Our Saviour Brother has so much love to give to all of us.
The †of forgiveness must be recalled, remembered,
And above all else, represented to us in the holy Eucharist.
Jesus comes to us directly, personally, intimately,
That we His family being made holy, live most joyously.
Godly will must be undertaken, shaped and furnished
By us alive in Jesus, according to the industrious Spirit.
His active zeal is shaped in love’s appeal by us in Jesus.
“For the kingdom of God is...righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.” Romans 14 v 17
“For (s)he who serves Christ in these things is acceptable to God and approved by men.” Romans 14 v 18
Let us pray therefore, as the Lord Jesus shepherds us, we lack nothing requisite to serve well.
Let us rejoice in a sense of fulfilment, offering thanks for every life well spent serving the based on Christ. “Doing everything wholeheartedly as if we were doing it directly for the Lord, not Colossians 3 v 23 for men.” The Truth.
Amen.
