REDEMPTION

“Oh give thanks to the LORD, for He is good! His mercy endures forever.” (Psalm 100 v 5)

Holy, loving care, this we share

With our Father, by means of Christ Jesus.

Our Brother gives entirely of Himself,

Even to being lifted up on a †, for us!

He opens the gate to heaven.

Jesus helps us to make progress

Over all our shortcomings and failings.

Jesus is the Lord of our righteousness.

Jesus, the Son of God, Healer and Saviour,

A Ruler according to the law of love.

Jesus frees us from our arch enemy, satan.

“Let the redeemed of the LORD, say so, whom He has redeemed from the hand of the enemy, and gathered out of the lands, from the east and from the west, from the north and from the south.”

(Psalm 107 v 2,3)

We are rescued from satan’s dominions of evil, a reign of terror,

For continuously the devil draws us into error.

But Jesus is more powerful by far.

He shows us how to be reverent by obedience,

That together with our Saviour and the Spirit,

We can proclaim the kingdom of God is here,

By seeking through love, with love, all for the sake of love,

For this love is the healing of our salvation.

In spite of all we lack, we are called back

To the love and mercy of our Father, our Redeemer,

As offered in Jesus, by the work of the Spirit.

“The righteous see it and rejoice, and all iniquity stops its mouth.” (Psalm 107 v 42)

“Whoever is wise will observe these things, and they will understand the loving kindness of the LORD.” (Psalm 107 v 43)

Let us then “Be not overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good” (Romans 12 v 21) for we should accomplish this if we give ourselves to the Lord Jesus, committing to His service of love for all people, as led

by the Spirit.

Let us pray.
