PRICELESS RICHES

Sue O’Donnell. 05.08.20

“Count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus.” ( Romans 6 v 11 NIV)

Oh the priceless riches of God’s grace.

Love’s embrace, inviting us to Jesus to fortify us.

In the Eucharist, I draw strength,

Coming directly from You, Lord Jesus.

You went to a length so enormous

To save and sanctify us.

Thank You for Your †,

Re-presented here to us in the Eucharist.

You gave of Your love freely

So as to obtain our liberty from iniquity.

I sense Your presence with us.

“...He set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand.” (Psalm 40 v 2)

Sensing this as I taste the wafer of bread, Your body,

And drink from the chalice of wine, Your blood,

To combine You with us, Lord Jesus.

Oh how great is our need of this,

Our need of You in the holy Eucharist.

Then we can claim, name love’s purpose

In the pursuit of Your holiness.

For all praise be to God’s glory,

The Trinity dwells with us, in our midst

In the blessed sacrament of the Holy Eucharist.

In holy communion is a love which surpasses description.

Suffice to say this of You, Lord Jesus:

“The Eucharist is a sacrament of love; it signifies love; it produces love.” (St Thomas Aquinas)

“From everlasting to everlasting the LORD’s love is with those who fear Him, and His righteousness with their children’s children.” (Psalm 103 v 17) Please pray.
