Troubles come, troubles go,
Some travel away fast,
Others go, but it is all too slow.
How does this accord
With any of God’s promises?
Remember He did not say,
‘No troubles will come your way’
For He is a realist.
What the Lord did say to encourage us,
Is that He will always be with us.
That is where our hope lies.
Every now and again we can look to the skies
And expect to see, when rainy
Yet somewhat sunny as well,
The clouds of darkness parting,
A rainbow of hope is seen shining.
A sign of God’s promise
To ever be with us,
A friendship that grows
As we pray for today,
And learn not to worry about tomorrow.
Lord, You say “ ‘Do not worry about what will happen tomorrow. Let tomorrow worry about itself! You have enough to think about today, and that is the same for everyday!” (Matthew 6 v 34The Truth)
Thank You for this wise advice. Please help us to remember it when troubles come, pray for today and put You in overall charge. Amen.
