“For I know the thoughts I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.” (Jeremiah 29 v 11)
Something of the meaning of the omnipotence
And splendid magnificence of the Lord, our God,
Is revealed to us in the Word who is Jesus.
As His love is a working grace in great power and promise,
That faith gain entrance and advancement amongst us.
How precious is the way of Jesus, our hope.
“...by my spirit within me, I will seek You early; for when Your judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness.” (Isaiah 26 v 9)
Jesus is able, wanting, willing through the Spirit,
To make earth His kingdom amongst us.
The Word, who is Jesus is full of God’s promise.
Access this in all faithfulness of devotion,
Through the Person of Jesus with us in the Eucharist,
To re-present to us the blessings of the †,
Where the supremacy of love is revealed as forgiveness,
In all the splendour of the majesty of holy love, such power and promise.
“...the eyes of our understanding being enlightened, that we may know what is the hope of Your calling, what are the riches of the glory of Your inheritance to the saints and what is the exceeding greatness of Your power towards us who believe, according to the working of Your mighty power.” (based on Ephesians 1 v 18, 19)
“Let us know, let us pursue the knowledge of the LORD, His going forth is established as the morning, He will come to us...” (Hosea 6 v 3) Please pray for this grace of belief and understanding. Amen.
