“GOD, who at various times and in various ways spoke in times past to the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by His Son...” (Hebrews 1 v 2)

God has spoken to us through Jesus

The One closest to the Father’s heart of love, His purpose,

Doing this by making Jesus, His Word.

A Word living, loving, active, effective amongst us,

The holy Son, the chosen One.

“...whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the world.” (Hebrews 1 v 2)

Dreams, visions, angels are all methods and means

Of our Father’s choice so as to speak to us.

But above this, God’s choice is made in Jesus,

The living Word of His promise of salvation,

The One come amongst us in the Eucharist for God’s purposes.

“...who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His Person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high...” (Hebrews 1 v 3)

In Jesus we discover, uncover the riches of God’s grace.

What full provision is made ours in the Saviour,

Who comes amongst us in all the fullness of “grace and truth”. (John 1 v 17)

God’s power, persuasion, provision becomes ours in Jesus,

Especially as we receive of His body and blood gifted amidst the Eucharist.

“No one has seen God at any time. The only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him.” (John 1 v 18)

“He is the image of the invisible God, the first born over all creation...All things were created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things and in Him all things consist.” (Colossians 1 v 16, 17)
