“Hear and give ear: do not be proud for the LORD has spoken... But if you will not hear it, my soul will weep in secret for your pride; my eyes will weep bitterly and run down with tears, because the LORD’S flock has been taken captive.” (Jeremiah 13 v 15, 17)
Be forgiven, feel forgiven, act forgiven!
Father, remove all obstacles to our listening,
To our hearing and to our obeying by understanding,
Out of full love, respect and reverence for You.
“God forbid that I should boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.” (Galatians 6 v 14)
Full healing, grace, blessing, comes from forgiveness.
We praise and thank You for the †of redemption.
The loving life of the Lord Jesus our salvation, the recommendation of
forgiveness.
“Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures and that He was buried, and that He rose again according to the Scriptures, and that He was seen...” (1 Corinthians 15 v 3, 4, 5)
Make us expectant, joyful, hopeful because of Jesus winning forgiveness.
We are totally lost without the †.
Holy Spirit, Lord, Cleanser, Healer, Sanctifier, through Jesus, come to us.
“..work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.” (Philippians 2 v 12)
Teach us to properly pray starting with repentance.
For undoubtedly when we do and by Your timely insight,
Manifold will be the blessings of graced forgiveness.
“Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me and I will listen to you. You will seek Me and find Me when you seek Me with all your heart.” (Jeremiah 29 v 12, 13 NIV)
“To You, O LORD, I lift up my soul. O God, I trust in You, let me not be ashamed. Let not my enemies triumph over me.” (Psalm 25 v 1)
Lord, we need greater self-control. Holy One, teach us. Drive far from us the lure, the call, the temptation of satan and this fallen world.
Instead of this influence and power, let us know the power of Your love, that holy fire which renews the face of the earth.
If we live by You, Holy Spirit, Lord, actively, consciously living in Christ, we will crucify the call of the clamour of the flesh which so seriously disrupts us. I am so sorry for all I get wrong when self-centred.
Grant us self control, temperance in all things, no excuses. Grant us the power to control our bodily desires and unspiritual thoughts.
Holy Spirit, Purifier, cleanse the thoughts of our hearts, the intent of our minds that in purity we can live to bear witness to the power of forgiveness, holy love so mercifully at work.
Direct our attention, devotion, intention, to Jesus, Lord and Word that we like Him live in all temperance, obedience, the fullest reverence shown to our Father.
Thank You that the cleansing of forgiveness, made ours in Jesus, and the strengthening of Your Holy Spirit, Lord enables us to achieve this.
We become certain that forgiveness is a part of our Father’s loving plan of salvation, our full redemption in Jesus, our restoration by You, Spirit Lord. In this we rejoice in the Lord God’s merciful choice of new life for
us.
“Let no one who waits on You be ashamed,” (Psalm 25 v 3) for we seek to live in the way Jesus taught us, modelled for us.
Holy Spirit, Lord, stir up the hearts and minds of all believers in the Lord Jesus and His †of our salvation to pray daily in earnest.
“Lead us in Your truth and teach us. For You (as a holy Trinity of three co-equal Persons) are the God of our salvation” (based on Psalm 25 v 5) on whom we must depend.
“Remember, O LORD, Your tender mercies and Your loving kindnesses, for they are from of old.
...According to Your mercy remember us,” (based on v 6, 7) for we belong to the Lord Jesus.
We are an Easter people of hope, richly blessed since the first Pentecost, when the risen, ascended and glorified Saviour sent You, Holy Spirit to us.
“Now hope does not disappoint because the love of God (as shown to us by Jesus) has been poured out in our hearts” (Romans 5 v 5) by Your being gifted to us, Holy Spirit, Lord.
This love is merciful, bountiful, life giving, life enhancing, life building, faith sustaining, manifold, being the blessings of graced forgiveness.
Holy love is undeniable, undefeatable, unconquerable goodwill, merciful, benevolent and most kindly, fully compassionate, always seeking the highest good for us.
This is the self giving love of the Trinity of mercy in which we know we are forgiven and truly we rejoice to be such a beneficiary.
Father, Son and Holy Spirit, You choose to act mercifully, to love and forgive us, and this unconditionally.
May we never take this unconditionally. May we never take this loving forgiveness for granted.
Ever let the praise and thank You as “Mercy and truth have met together; righteousness and peace have kissed” (Psalm 85 v 10) and we are so very grateful for this.
Thank You for all that You are, all that You reveal to us, all that You so lovingly do for us. May the world prosper as we learn how we are forgiven in Jesus and want to respond accordingly. Amen.
